G 2 1 Slack Bus: Power Flow Analysis

A two-bus power system has a line impedance of 0 + j 0.1 p.u. connecting bus 1 and bus 2. Bus 1 is the slack bus with a voltage of 1.0∠0° p.u. and has a load of 80 MW + j10 MVAr. Bus 2 has a load of 120 MW + j 30 MVAr. Using the Newton-Raphson method, calculate the bus 2 voltage, V2, in one iteration of power flow analysis.

Consider a system as shown in figure below. The line 1-2 has an impedance of 0 + j 0.1 p.u.

The load at bus-1 is 80 MW + j10 MVAr while the load at bus-2 is 120 MW + j 30 MVAr. Bus-1 is the slack bus and the voltage at this bus is given as V1 = 1.00 p.u.
