    The Republic of Uganda Ministry of Works and Transport commissioned a geotechnical investigation for a site in Kawempe Mbogo Zone. The scope of work included excavating 4 test pits to 3 meters depth and obtaining disturbed and undisturbed soil samples. Dynamic cone penetration tests and groundwater level measurements were also conducted. Laboratory tests included sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, moisture content, shear strength, consolidation, specific gravity, pH, sulfate and chloride content. A technical report summarizing the findings and recommendations would be prepared within 2 weeks of receiving 75% payment of the 3,028,000 Ugandan shilling total cost.
