Key-Crypt Pro - PRECAUTIONS
1. The hand held diagnostic tool is an electronic piece of

equipment, and should not be exposed to excessive sunlight,
high temperatures or immersed in liquids.

fitted to the product and the immobiliser.

Key-Crypt Pro - INTRODUCTION
The professional duplicating machine, Key-Crypt Pro, has been designed and built to
keep pace with the constant evolution of transponder car keys.
The Key-Crypt Pro key duplicator features the most innovative electronic components
in the field of radio frequencies thus allowing easy detection, reading and cloning
(duplication) of fixed code transponders and identification of cryptographic transponder
codes.
The Key-Crypt Pro can either be used as a stand alone tool or with PC software which
increases its ease of use.
Major features include the ability for copying of Crypto 42, Texas 4C and 4D
transponders.
The Key-Crypt Pro has been developed to cater for future developments with the ever
expanding technology of transponders within Automotive vehicle systems.
The Key-Crypt Pro offers complete flexibility. Once the main unit is purchased the
functionality can be expanded by adding additional software.
The machine of the future for transponder technology, is the Key-Crypt Pro....for

The EEPROM Reading function is an advanced function and also requires an EEPROM-
reader. For this we sell the Omega IC and EEprom Programmer.
The Transponder Specialist function should only be used by experts.

Procedure for copying Texas 4D Crypto Transponder
To copy this type of transponder, the PC software must be used as an internet

connection is required.
A. Select MAIN MENU tab.

B. Place key into the reading area.
C. Click READ
D. Transponder detail will be displayed

E. Click the web icon.
F. Click YES to confirm you have internet connection.

Then click YES to perform web based calculation (can take 6 mins)

G. When the web calculation has finished the following dialog box will
appear, click OK.
H. Remove the key that has just been read.

I. Place either an EH2 or TPX1 transponder into the key reading area.
J. Select the appropriate transponder type to copy onto.
K. Next click WRITE.
L. The status bar will indicate if the copying process was successful.

the car, put the key in the ignition lock and turn on and off and then start
the car. The car now writes information to the transponder. Once this has
been done this key cannot work in any other car.

Procedure
A. Select either slot 6,7 or 8 to program a key into.
B. Place a special transponder (AKTP30) into the reading area.

D. The status bar will indicate if copying was successful.
E. The transponder can now be programmed into a vehicle.

Note: remember the slot number that was programmed.

EEPROM
This function is used in conjunction with an EEPROM reader . Depending on the

system the transponder information and/or the pin code can be read.
The file that is read by the EEPROM reader is programmed into the special
transponder by using the Key-Crypt Pro and PC software program.

Key-Crypt Pro - Eeprom Functions
Eeprom instructions.
1st. Go to pc program and open. Next go to Eeprom menu at top of screen.
2. Go to eeprom section and press enter.

3. There are 4 different ways of doing these Eeproms, which we will show you
and name them A, B, C, D. The first way you will see that you will get pin
code and write key in the menu. Next you will only get the choice of writing to
transponder . Thirdly You will get the choice of precoding transponder and
getting pincode. ( This is used by the Fiat and Alfa derivative cars). Lastly you
will only get a pin code, as used on any vehicles using the Phillips crypto 2
(id46) chips.
Now lets deal with the 1st option.

A. Here we will use a VW Golf with a Siemens 6 pin box and using a Motorola
Hc05 B8 processor.
Next go to open file and point to where you have saved the Eeprom or proc-
essor that you have read with your programmer.

And then chose the file that you need.

Double click with your mouse on the file and this will bring you back to this
menu.

As you can see from this screen at the bottom it shows you the file and you
can see that you have two choices here. The 1st is “Pin code calculate” and the
next is “Program transponder”. So if you are going to use a diagnostic tool to
code the key then only press pin code calculate. Within a few seconds you will
have a pin code.
Now use your AD100 Pro and code a correct key to the car. Or simply insert
a T5 transponder in the unit and program and transponder. You can now take
this transponder and start the car.

B. This will do a Mazda with a Temic box. This is on a 33 and is module 39.
First go to module 39 and choose this.
Then choose this module and you will get all this information, which will tell
you the processor and whether car is ready to start afterwards, and trans-
ponder to use. It also tells you that this is a Motorola HC705P3.

Once you have chosen this eeprom it will bring you back to this screen.
As you can see it only gives you an option of programming transponder, and
car will start once key inserted in ignition.

C. Next we are going to do a Fiat on a code 2 with a Bsi unit. This is mod-
ule 17.This is one where you will precode the T6 transponder with a vir-
gin transponder. It will also give you a 5 digit pin number with which to
program this key to the car with your AD100 Pro.
Next press for module 17.
Now point to file.

Once you have chosen module 17 this will bring you back to the module you
have chosen with these extra functions.
You will also see that the program has automatically identified the type of
eeprom dump and has adjusted the program accordingly. In this case you will
see at the end it does say 256x16. In this instance you will get the option of
programming transponder and also calculate pin code. It also has on the
screen that transponder has to be matched to car using diagnostic device.
Now using a virgin T6 tranponder, insert this into the machine and write to
transponder. This function has examined the dump and has worked out the
precode that the car will recognise and will write that to the chip. This is how
the factory would do this. Also it will give you the 5 digit code.

Now go to pin calculate and you will have the 5 digit pin code for the car.
Now insert a T6 (ID48) chip in the reader and pre-program the transponder.
This is doing it exactly as the factory would do it. Now use your AD100/ Pro
and code the key to the car.

D. In this you will only get the option of pin code. So go to module 26 and se-
lect this unit.
Choose Module 26.
Open file and point to dump.

Once you have selected file you will be brought back to module 26 and you
will now see the selected file . Unfortunately on these you can only get a pin
code.
As you can see from this screen you only have the option of “Pin code calcu-
late”. So press this to get the pin code.

As you can see from this you now have a pin code. You can now take your
AD100/Pro and code the card to the car.

This facility is designed to allow the transponder to be fully configured and

should only be used by an individual who is fully knowledgeable in this area.

SETTING
The SETTINGS page allows the following:
Language - Select language

Com Port - Select correct com port that the tester is
connected to. (Normally this does not need to be
changed)
Device version* - Software version currently loaded on the tester.
Serial Number* - Serial number of the tester.
Status* - OK will appear at the bottom of the screen if the
tester is connected correctly.
Check Current Version: - Checks the latest version of software that is
available for download for the particular unit
connected.
Update - Facility to update tester software
Software Lookup - Facility to look at the software modules that you
have loaded and those that are not.
Note: Click CONNECT to display the information above (*).

Key-Crypt Pro - SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
The Key-Crypt Pro is supplied with the latest software available at the time.
However it is recommended that you update the software regularly.
If you have purchased any additional software modules, you will also need to
update your tester to activate this software.
First step is to install the program. Do not connect the Key-Crypt Pro tester un-
til instructed.
Procedure
A. Visit www.lockdecoders.com/setup.exe
Please remember to put the link in the top box as indicated and not in the
search bar.

You will get 2 options. The choice is up to you. In this example we

will run the program.
Run the .EXE file. You will get a warning like this. Press the run
button, This will install the program.

e. Click INSTALL

h. The Key-Crypt Pro icon will be displayed on your desktop.

Connecting Key-Crypt PRO To The PC
A. Connect power to the tester but do not switch the tester on.
B. Connect the USB cable from the tester to the PC USB port.
C. Switch the tester on.
Note: The first time you connect to the PC, Windows will detect
new hardware and automatically install. Wait until Windows
confirms a successful installation.
D. Open the PC program by double clicking on the Key-Crypt Pro icon on the
desktop.
E. The first time you connect to the PC and open the PC program you may
need to select the correct com port from the pull down list in the settings
tab. Normally this is not necessary.
F. The next time you connect to the same USB port it will detect the
Key-Crypt Pro automatically.
NOTE:
When using Key-Crypt Pro in conjunction with the
PC Software Program, ensure that the Key-Crypt Pro
is switched on first, before opening the PC software.
This ensures that the PC detects the com port
correctly.

Software Update Procedure
If this is the first time you connect your tester to the PC please refer to the sec-
tion Connecting Key-Crypt Pro To The PC first.
A. Connect power to the tester but do not switch the tester on.
B. Connect the USB cable from the tester to the PC USB port.
C. Switch the tester on.
D. Double click the Key-Crypt Pro icon on your desktop to open the software
program.
E. The PC program will open. Click Settings
F. Click CONNECT

If your tester is correctly connected to the PC the following information will be
displayed
Device version - Software version currently loaded on the tester.

Serial Number - Serial number of the tester.
Status - OK will appear at the bottom of the screen.
G. Click Check Current Version.

H. Click YES to confirm you have internet connection

L. After a short while the latest software will be installed on the Key-CryptPro.
Note: After the your tester has been updated, it maybe necessary
to change the language back to the required setting.
Warning.
If you get a blue screen at the end of the updating of the software, then
start the updating procedure again. This is from steps I to L.

1. “Check current version”.

2. Then go to “update”.
3. Once update has started then the machine serial number will come
up at the top.
4. At the end of the updating you should here a beep and the Key-
Crypt Pro will restart and you should now see our logo and then the
main menu.
Updating Pc software.
Go to check Pc software version and this will tell you if you have the
latest version, if not then go to PC software update. This will now bring
up a box asking if you have an internet connection.

You will now get a screen like this.
Go next and you will be given a message that the pc program will be cut. Do
not worry about this. After 5 minutes you pc program will be restarted and you
will see the new main screen now showing the latest software.
