    PHYSICAL EDUCATION MR. TOMKINSON SAMUEL S.

    YELLIN SCHOOL 2013-2014 GUIDELINES AND EXPECTATIONS CONTRACT

    Physical Education Attire: Students are required to change for each class. Students are required to wear a blue or gold shirt and blue, gold or black shorts. Both shirt and shorts must be changed regardless of what was worn to school. Failure to wear appropriate clothing will result in 2.5 point deduction of final grade each time a student is not prepared. Students will be able to make up to two unprepared grades after school on designated days per marking period. Six or more unprepared in a marking period will result in a failure. After deduction of 5 points a phone call will be made home. Examples of appropriate attire: Sneakers Blue/Gold/Black Sweatpants/Shorts Blue/Gold T-shirt/sweatshirt

    Examples of inappropriate attire: Dress shoes/high heels Uggs/boots Flip-flops/sandals Skirts/dresses Skinny jeans/other tight fitting pants

    Participation: Participation in class is a HUGE part of your Physical Education grade. I dont expect everyone to excel at every lesson, activity, skill, or sport taught in class, but I do expect each and every student to give 110%! Dont TRY your best, DO your best!!! Attitude/Behavior: Full cooperation with class rules is expected! Anything less will result in grade deductions and/or disciplinary actions. Remember.... respect, responsibility, and safety! Test/Quizzes: There will be a WRITTEN and SKILL assessment for each unit. Demonstration of skills as well as knowledge of rules and terms pertaining to each sport and activity is required. Ample notice will be given prior to each assessment. Study guides will usually, but not always, be provided. Physical Education Grading Policy: Participation: Attitude/Behavior: Test/Quizzes:
