British Council Online Entry Procedure for Bangladesh. Edexcel International GCSE / GCE / IAL examinations : January 2014 Important Change! Please note that only a valid international passport will be accepted as ID for ALL candidates. All candidates are required to attach a copy of their valid international passport along with the Online Registration Form. No other form of identification will be accepted. Dear Candidate, 1. Select go for online registration to register online. Fill out the information one by one. Take a print out of the completed online form. Make the payment at any of the following branches of Standard Chartered Bank. Please submit the printed copy of your online form to either at your school (school candidate) or any of the following Standard Chartered Banks branches or British Council Examinations Services offices in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet by 30 September 2013. School candidates should check with their respective schools for their submission dates, which may be different from the above. British Council will not take responsibility if you are unable to submit your form within the above deadline. Please note that NO form will be accepted after 30 September 2013. Please submit the following documents: 4.1. A copy of completed Online Entry Form. 4.2. Three recent passport size coloured photographs (not more than 6 month old). The photographs must be signed on the back by the candidate 4.3 Please note, you will be required to pay an Edexcel fee of 35.00 if you need to change the name or date of birth that you have entered on the Registration Form. However name or date of birth cant be changed once the certificate is printed. 4.4. To make the payment procedure simple, candidates will now be required to pay the fee ONLY to the above-mentioned Standard Chartered Bank Branches in Dhaka and all the branches in Narayanganj, Chittagong and Sylhet by completing a deposit slip, which will be available at the bank branches. Late Entries: 5.1. Please note, the exam board regulations relating to Late Entry have changed. Any candidates registering for Late Entry now have to pay double the regular entry fee. 5.2. No entry or subject additions will be accepted after 30 September 2013. A late entry can be made after this date. Late registration (via online) can be done from 27 October 2013 to 05 November 2013 and will have to be submitted to the British Council, 5 Fuller Road office only by the same deadline. 5.3. If one subject/unit, or subject option, is substituted for another, this involves the cancellation of one subject/unit and the addition of a new subject/unit and therefore constitutes a late entry.

A candidate who wishes to withdraw all subjects/units from the January 2014 examinations should apply to the British Council for a refund of fees no later than 05 November 2013. Detailed explanation of the reason for withdrawal is required. If the application is acceptable to Edexcel, a partial refund will be paid. Please note: no refund will be paid for partial withdrawal and Late Registration of subjects. Candidate can apply for a refund on medical ground until 27 January 2014. A qualified doctor of a hospital must complete the refund application form. (Refund Application forms can be collected from the British Council office at Fuller Road from 08 October 2013) Please ensure that you have consulted the current regulations, syllabuses and the timetable, in order to ensure you have the right combination of units for an award and to ensure you avoid any timetable clashes and forbidden combinations of subjects. If you have examinations which are clashing at the same time and day, please contact British Council as soon as you receive the Statement of Entry. Your Statement of Entry and timetable issued by the Examining Board and the venue details etc. will be sent to your school or to your home address mentioned in Entry Form by the third week of December 2013. Exam Certificates: If you have taken previous examinations, and have not collected your certificates, please do so as soon as possible. It has been agreed with the exam board that the uncollected certificates may be destroyed after two years from the issuing date. Certificates are now available for any examinations taken during, or before, the January 2013 session.

10. Chemistry and Physics ( Alternative to Practical): Examinations in these modules include written test which is alternatives to practical. Candidates who have practiced at a British Council / EDEXCEL approved school laboratory can only appear in these modules. 11. Eng. Language, Eng. Lit. and Eng. Lang & Lit.: Examinations in these modules include course works. These three subjects are available to school candidate only. And in the examinations centre only the original book prescribed in the SET TEXT will be allowed.
