M.Tech. Admissions 2013 Procedure for online application


Application process for M.Tech. Admissions at DTU for session 2013-14 will be online. Candidates willing to apply for admission in various M.Tech. courses at DTU can visit DTU admission website www.dtuadmissions.nic.in. Online application process will start from April 25, 2013. Detailed admission schedule for M.Tech. courses is available on this website along with other related details about courses, eligibility criteria, number of seats, fee, and refund rules. There are three types of M.Tech. courses at DTU. 1. Full time (FT) (two year course). 2. Sponsored Full time sponsored (SFT) (two year course). 3. Part time (PT) (three year course) IMPORTANT: One application form is required for each department. If candidate is willing to apply for full time(FT) as well as sponsored (SFT)/part time(PT) in a department, he/she is required to make multiple registrations and fill separate applications for each type of course in a department. For each registration made by candidate, separate registration fee is required to be deposited by candidate. Admissions for full time(FT) courses will be done on the basis of GATE score/percentile only, where as admissions for sponsored full time (SFT) and part time (PT) courses will be done on the basis of qualifying examination percentage, a written test and interview. Candidates are required to first register themselves and fill complete application form. Separate application forms are to be filled for each department and each type of course (FT/SFT/PT). For departments with more than one specialization, candidate can specify preferences for specializations, while applying for that department. After completing online application form, when candidate submits application form, he will be asked to create a password for this website. An 8-digit registration number will be generated by system after completion of application form. Candidates are required to note down the registration number for future use as this registration number is the login ID for candidates account on this website. System will also generate SBI Bank Challan for registration fee. Candidates are required to take the print of this Bank Challan and deposit the registration fee at any branch of State Bank of India during period (between 17-05-2013 to 24-05-2013) specified in the schedule. A confirmation for their registration fee deposited will be available in candidates registration account, two days after last date of registration fee deposit. All candidates who have completed and submitted the online application form successfully can later on logon to this website using their registration number and password generated during registration process. They can edit their application form for making necessary changes (if required). Finally when candidate is satisfied will all details filled in application form, he/she can confirm the application and take print out of

complete application form. Once application is confirmed by the candidate, he/she cannot change any details filled in the application form. Candidates are required to paste a passport size photograph on application form, attach attested copies of all relevant documents. Sponsored Full Time (SFT) and Part Time (PT) candidates are required to bring the application form to DTU at the time of written test/Interview. Full Time (FT) candidates are required to bring the application form to DTU at the time of admission. At the time of written test/Interview, Sponsored Full Time (SFT) candidates are required to submit a Sponsorship Certificate, and Part Time (PT) candidates are required to submit a No Objection Certificate issued by their current employer, in a format available on this website. Please note that in any case, application form should not be sent to DTU by post. For Full Time (FT) candidates applying through GATE score, admissions will be based on GATE score/ percentile only. For sponsored full time (SFT) and part time (PT), shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test and interview. Admissions will be offered to selected candidates in three rounds. If some seats remain vacant at the end of a round, waitlisted candidates will be offered admission in next round after upgrading already admitted candidates according to their preferences. If some seats remain vacant at the end of second round of admissions, a Spot admission round will be held and vacant seats may be filled on spot with available candidates. Complete online application process can be summarized as follows: * Visit www.dtuadmissions.nic.in , register and fill application form, create password. * Note down registration number generated by the system. * Login to your account using registration number and password, edit your application for any changes. * Confirm the application, and take printout of the application form and SBI Bank challan for registration fee. * Sponsored /part time candidates can download sponsorship certificate/no objection certificate formats from website. * Deposit Registration fee at any branch of SBI using bank challan created during registration. (between 17-05-2013 to 24-05-2013) * See the confirmation of registration fee deposited, in your registration account two day after the last date for fee deposit. * Bring complete application form along with all required certificates (original and a set of attested photocopy) to DTU on the dates of Written test/Interview/admission. *

If offered admission, report at concerned department along with all your original certificates and demand draft of fee. *
