Kills-A-Hundred OBJECTIVE To obtain an elementary teaching position EDUCATION South Dakota State University, Brookings, South Dakota B.S. in Early Childhood Education May 2011 RELATED EXPERIENCE

Flandreau Elementary, Flandreau, SD 57028 (Fall 2013-Present)

Substitute Teacher: I perform duties that the classroom teacher has when they are unable to do so themselves. I teach lessons, observe recess, and manage classrooms just as their teacher would if they were there.

CornerStone Christian Academy, Las Vegas, NV 89146 (Fall 2011-Summer2013)

Preschool and Prekindergarten Teacher: I worked alongside a co-teacher to plan and facilitate lessons. I worked with other co-workers on a professional level to make sure the entire program was always running smoothly. This meant putting in extra hours if needed and covering other shifts. I also maintained a close, but professional relationship with the families at CornerStone. This school became NAEYC Accredited in summer 2013. I was proud to be a part of this rigorous process from start to finish.

Student Teacher: I student taught first grade at Flandreau Elementary school in the spring of 2011. I worked alongside my mentor teacher as she prepared me for future teaching. I planned lessons, held conferences, and put in the extra time and effort to make sure my students were in a constructive environment and working at their best. I have also student taught at the Fishback center on the SDSU campus. This was a preschool with about 15 children per classroom. I helped to plan lessons and led a small group daily.

Support Professional: I helped to support two children with Usher Syndrome. I took care of them when their parents needed a break or had conflicting schedules. I helped with daily hygiene skills, homework, meals, and planning activities.

Advance Foundation, Brookings, SD 57006 (2008-2011)

Support Professional: I helped support people with disabilities to live their lives to the fullest potential. I cleaned, helped people get up and get ready for work, distributed medications, prepared meals, and planned daily activities.
