Bank Robbery
04/29/2014 at 9:15 a.m.
On Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at 9:15 a.m., Thomasville officers responded to First Bank in reference to a robbery. A man walked into the First Bank at 22 Winston Salem St. about 9:11 a.m. displaying a firearm and demanded money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank on foot. Police found an exploded burgundy dye pack with money in the roadway near the intersection of Winston Street and Highland Avenue. Police believe the person responsible for robbing the bank is coated in dye. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a light grey or white sweatshirt, dark hoodie, and a ball cap underneath the hoodie. Witnesses stated the suspect was about 5-feet 9-inches tall and between 30 to 40 years of age. No employees or customers were injured during the robbery.
