Curriculum
Designed for working professionals who want to expand
their technical expertise and leadership skills, the online
Master of Science in Civil Engineering program consists
of 32 total credit hours over fve semesters with fve
core and six specialization courses. The program can be
completed in 20 months, entirely online; no campus-
based residencies are required. Students choose from
three specializations: environmental engineering,
structural engineering, and transportation engineering.

Admissions Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET-
accredited program (applicants for admission from non-accredited
programs, with an undergraduate GPA below 3.0, or with a non-CE
major in a related area, will be reviewed more carefully).
GPA Guidelines
3.0/4.0 in BS in CE from ABET-accredited university
no GRE required
2.5/4.0 in BS in CE from ABET-accredited university
GRE scoring in 25% upper percentile in quantitative; or 5
years experience in CE profession; or PE in CE; or other
graduate degrees (e.g., JD, MBA); or 3.0/4.0 in 12 hours of
other graduate coursework
3.0/4.0 in terminal degree from non CE degree
minimum coursework completed
10 years experience in CE profession
GRE required for some applicants.
For international students, a score of at least 88 on the TOEFL iBT
(570 paper-based) or a 7.0 on the 9-band scale of the IELTS test.
