Overview: Students/candidates will critique/evaluate the:
Student Website Portfolio: 50% of Exam Score
1. 4 scanned pages of their IWB for every piece of artwork, totaling 68 scanned pages from Jr to Sr year
2. 17 or more works of art that are photographed and uploaded to student website
3. Artist Statement
4. The overall look of the Student website
Cardinal Stritch Pecha Kucha group critique: 50% of Exam Score
1. Students participate in group Presentation with evaluator/professor from Stritch
The Student Website Portfolio:
1.

Each student MUST present the following via their student website.
a. 4 scanned pages of their IWB for every piece of artwork, totaling 68 scanned pages
b. 17 or more works of art that are photographed and uploaded to student website
c. Artist Statement

1. Artwork
a. Stritch collaborated with Reagan
i. Srs create a slideshow of their current work
ii. Slide show must be a min of 12 screens
iii. Students have 5 min to explain their journey in art from the past year and half
iv. Students should talk about some/all of the following questions
a. Have you specialized in a particular area or medium?
i. For what reason?
b. Which do you consider to be your best work and why?
c. What were your problems in studio work?
ii. How did you attempt to solve them?_
iii. What are you trying to express in particular works of art?
iv. What gave you the idea?
v. To what sources did you refer?
d. Explain how the cultures of certain parts of the world have influenced your work?
e. How does your PP trace the development toward the final product?
f. Have you specialized in a particular area or medium? For what reason?
g. Which do you consider to be your best work technically? Why?
h. What were your problems in studio work? What are they and how did you attempt to solve them?
i. What are you trying to express in particular works of art?
j. What gave you the idea?
k. To what sources did you refer?
l. Discuss the artists you have used as inspiration?
m. How do you feel the culture of certain parts of the world have influenced your work?
n. Did you have any interesting failures?
o. What is the meaning of the piece?
p. Have any of your feelings changed since the beginning of making the piece?
q. What grabs your attention in the work and why?
r. How did you apply the medium? (for example: are the brush strokes thick or thin, how was the paint
applied, etc)
s. How does the medium contribute to the understanding and meaning of the work?
