has organized Lets Speak Up competition to encourage
undergraduates to enhance their presentation skills. All semester
one students are required to participate in the competition. So,
start planning your presentation!
Rules :
Your topic should be based on current issues in Malaysia.
Narrow down your topic (Eg: Smoking: Effects of smoking)
Read widely on the selected topic and gather important
information
(statistics, cases, pictures, etc.)
Contestants must prepare powerpoint slides (less than 10
slides) to present for FIVE minutes.
Contestants are encouraged to use other suitable tools
(handouts, photos, newspaper articles) to deliver effective
presentation.
You are advised to pay attention to:STRUCTURE

PRACTICE

BODY LANGUAGE

Have a logical order:


Introduction, middle
with your main points &
a conclusion

Practice as many times


as you can in front of a
mirror with a recorder/
friend

Smile, make eye


contact, stand up
straight and move
around a bit.

you more energised.
Prepare and practice more!
