MLA FormatDocument Set-up Process

Open Word
Create a New Word Document
Set MarginsChange margins from default (usually 1.25) to 1 inch top, sides, and
bottom
Set Double SpacingGo to Paragraph, change default (usually multiple) to DOUBLE.
Emphasize that EVERYTHING is double spaced, including the header
Insert Header, blank page number 3; type last name and a space before entering the
page number for every page
Set information quad flush to the LEFT margin:

Student First Name, Last Name
