    MultiageMonday Memo

    March 3rd -7th


    News
    Reading Second grade students will continue to with authors
    purpose (entertain, inform, or persuade). First Grade students will
    work on asking questions about the passage.
    Writing Students will begin learning the traits of informational
    writing.
    Grammar Students will work on subject and object pronouns,
    as well as commas in lists and dates.
    1st spelling cube, mule, rude, tube, tune, ask, very, do, huge,
    ruby, windy
    2nd Spelling knee, knight, wrap, wreath, written, once, week,
    gnaw, wrestler, knife, windy, strong, seasonal, weather,
    hurricane
    Math 1st Students will continue to master measurement and
    telling time to the hour and half hour.
    2nd Students will master telling time to the hour, half hour,
    quarter hour, and 5 minute intervals.
    Unit StudyStudents will continue to work on magnets

    Save the Date Monday, June 1st Multiage Capers


    Island Field Trip All Parents are invited to
    Chaperone. Parent chaperones must sign up by the
    deadline, Friday, March 13th Late additions will not
    be accepted due to boat reservations. Permission
    Slips were in your childs folder on Monday (2/23).
    Multiage Meeting Thursday, March 12th -6:00pm
    This is a meeting for new, interested parents. Please
    spread the word to rising first and second parents that
    are interested in the multiage program.
    Charleston Coupon Books Each book is $20 and the
    school will receive $10 for each book. Please return
    the $20 or the coupon book by Friday, March 6th.
    Every child that returns the money or coupon book
    will receive a homework pass for one night of no
    homework. If the whole class returns the money or
    the book, then our class will receive extra recess!!
    Paper Towel Tubes Please recycle your cardboard
    paper towel tubes and send them into school. Rose is
    collecting them for her theater group.
