Experience
The coordination, registration, scheduling, assistant teaching and weekly operations of a Karate
class with the Young American Martial Arts Club.
The coordination of a partnership with the Urban Ecology Center of an after school activity
program that emphasized cooperation with nature and outdoor large muscle activities.
(Including: canoeing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and rock climbing)
Assisting in the creation of and operation of Teen Pilot Program with the goal of providing care
and mentoring of youth that had former ties to the Childrens Learning Center.
Participation in several committees responsible for the many services that the Childrens Learning
Center provides. These include Summer Planning Committee, Field Trip Planning Committee,
Playground Committee, Internal Partnerships Committee, Young Star/Assessment Team, Green
Team, Garden Committee and NAA Accreditation Committee.
While at the Childrens Learning Center I assisted in the opening of two new after school
programs: Galaxy Room 4-6 yrs. and the Moon Room 9-13 yrs. in conjunction with a
partnership with Hartford Avenue School.

scheduling of children, billing, daily child attendance recording, and the coordination of
transportation of children from schools via three bus routes and one walking route. Daily
supervision of program, handling of parent questions and/or concerns, responsibility of all
medical concerns, planning of activities and state certified snacks and lunches.
