1) Upcoming events such as a Dine to Donate fundraiser, Spaghetti Dinner, and International Social Work presentations were discussed. Committees were asked to prepare 2 slides for a final ceremony presentation. 2) The funds committee reported that a car wash earned $363, exceeding their $300 goal, and a scramble light fundraiser earned $16.06. 3) The awareness committee said that flyers attached to pencils were handed out quickly but standalone flyers were more difficult to distribute. Minutes as Proxy 2

April 28, 2015

Micah Jackson

For my second time as proxy this occurred on April 14, 2015. During this time we
discussed upcoming events such as the Dine to Donate on the 22nd, the Spaghetti Dinner hosted
on the 18th, and the International Social Work presentations on our last week of class. We spoke
of how Deric and Zoe shall be presenting and speaking at the final event and how each
committee needs a couple of slides so they may add it to their presentation for this ceremony. In
these presentations, two slides are required as well as the goals of the committee and what each
committee did to reach these goals.
We heard from the funds committee as they gave us the totals from the previous held
events. The car wash earned $363 and some change which over exceeded our total goal of $300.
The scramble light made $16.06 for the whole day as well. So based on these figures the funding
has not been too bad in raising funds for this organization.
The awareness committee spoke of how all the flyers they handed out that were attached
to pencils went rather quickly but the ones that were by themselves they had a hard time given
those away. They also spoke of the Facebook likes and the total so far in the semester was 479,
the initial goal is for 500 likes by the end of the semester. Sponsorship had no news from the
previous weeks as I was the proxy for this day no news was relayed to me via email or text
message.
Lastly Deric and Zoe discussed how the first part of the class will be to work in our
committee on our final presentation and the slides we would like to share. Secondly, the latter
part of class will be used to work on our International Group Presentations, our will be on the
country of Mongolia.
