1.
Please provide a detailed summary describing the artifact and its purpose.
In my honors English class with Ms. Burnett we were given either a Greek god or goddess
to research and conduct a formal essay about their story. We had to tell of what power they held
and what they symbolized. We discussed their family lives and one main event in which they
were popular for. After completing the essay and turning it in, the project also required us to
make outfits and dress up as our given Greek god or goddess. As a whole class we acted out
scenes from their storylines.
2.
Identify and list the GLPO(s) that were satisfied in completing this artifact. In
addition, please explain how these GLPO(s) were met by specifically referring to the
examples or evidence from the artifact. (Please specifically refer to the indicators within
each domain, and do not simply state that you Took Action or Communicated Ideas.)
There were many GLPO(s) that were satisfied in completing this artifact. I was able to
investigate the world. I generated and explained a personal and societal significance of a locally,
regionally and globally focused researchable topic. I did this by discussing the importance of a
mythological character and how it represents and affects apart of our world today. I was also able
to communicate my ideas effectively by presenting dressed up as my Greek goddess Hestia. This
helped my audience understand better of who the Greek goddess was.

What skills and concepts were learned throughout the process of completing this
artifact?
I learned a lot of skills and concepts throughout the process of completing this artifact.
When researching about my Greek goddess I learned new knowledge I didnt know before. I was
not aware much of the significance of mythology however, after doing this project I was able to
appreciate the importance of this history. I gained academic skills for success through writing
multiple outline and drafts of my essay. I also was gain the skills of working well together with
other in order to present our costumes to an audience.

Looking back on the process of completing this artifact, what might you do
differently if you were able to recreate or revise the final product? How has process of
completing this artifact positively affected your future?
Looking back on the process of completing this artifact, if I was able to recreate and
revise the final product I think I would have added more detail to my essay. It was only required
to do minimum 500 words, however I felt like I had so much information to include but I was
refrained due to the fact that I didnt have enough time to coherently organize multiple
paragraphs. I think I also would have liked to spend more time designing my costume better.
The process of completing this artifact has positively affected my future because I learned a lot
of material as well as learned to work with others.
