This standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 124 Timber structures (Secretariat: Denmark), WG 2 Solid
timber.
The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Bauwesen (Building
and Civil Engineering Standards Committee), Technical Committee Holzbauwerke.

This standard differs from the April 1996 edition in that references have been updated.
