Interdependence and Biodiversity of organisms. In the
second quarter we will begin the exploration of the "Micro"
world as we switch to our next topic, Biochemistry, in

Class ExpectaCons (Guidelines for Success)

You are responsible for your learning (no-one else can learn it for you). Most
acGviGes are designed so they can be completed during class so that I can assess and
assist with your progress. However you can expect homework. Time out of class will
also be required to prepare for tests, quizzes and compleGon of some projects.

We are all responsible for the learning environment in our classroom. Please note
that behavior that fosters a posiGve learning environment for all in the class is
required. Our classroom policies and procedures as well as LHS policies such as cell
phone, tardy, academic honesty, are designed with that goal in mind and will be
followed. In order to foster a safe and comfortable atmosphere that promotes
learning for all. We will spend Gme in class developing these expectaGons as the
semester progresses.
Note that although you are responsible for your behavior, I am required to maintain
a classroom that provides ALL students with the opportunity to learn.

Therefore I follow these guidelines:
1. I will allow students to remain in class as long as they do not cause a problem for
anyone else.
2. If they cause a problem, I will ask them to x it.
3. If they cant or will not x it, I will do something.
4. What I do will depend on what the person is willing to do to solve the problem.
