program designed to promote the
optimum development of an individual
physical,emotional,mental and social
well-being-through various activities
such as sports,leisure activities,dances,
and games.

-is a state of wellbeing, the ability to
perform activities
effectively without
undue fatigue.

measure physical strength ,
agility , and endurance.

1. Health-Related Skills
Muscular Endurance
-the ability to exert force over
an extended period of time.

Muscular Strength
- the ability of the muscles to
exert and produce maximum
effort

Cardiovascular Endurance
-the ability of the circulatory
system to supply oxygen.

2. Skills-Related
Fitness
Agility
-refers to the ability
to rapidly change
your entire body
position in space
with accuracy and
speed.

Balance
-ability to maintain
equilibrium, or control ones
bodys position in space.

Coordination
-is a skill that recruits the
senses such as sight and hearing
in conjunction with body parts to
perform tasks accurately and with
efficiency of movement.

Power
-is the ability to exert
maximum force in a quick ,
explosive burst.

Speed and Reaction


Time
Speed
- is the ability to
perform a movement in a
short period of time .
Reaction Time
-refers to the time it
takes for neuromuscular
system to produce
movement from stimulus
to reaction.

Flexibility
- the ability of the
muscles to move
joints to perform a
wide range of motion
and to move easily
and without strain or
injury.

Organic Vigor
- refers to the cardiovascular
efficiency which contributes to the
ability of an individual to resist
disease.

Do this :
In one whole sheet of paper , identify the
corresponding exercises one can do to improve ones
performance for each component. Give at least 3
exercises/household chores per component
