Riverside Police Partner with Sarahs Inn Domestic Violence

Shelter for Childrens Holiday Gift Project
Riverside Police could not have been more pleased with the support they received from the community in toy donations for
the Sarahs Inn Holiday Gift Project.
RPD delivered enough toys to fill an entire closet with donated toys from our generous community; one caring resident even
donated $1,200 in gift cards!
Each year Riverside Police Department, supported this year by Riverside Recreation Department, help with this annual gift
drive for families affected by domestic violence.
Sarahs Inn volunteers create a holiday gift shop where women choose gifts for their children for free during this one-day
event. This shop enables women to make their own decisions about which gifts their children would enjoy in a safe and
supportive environment. This annual gift project has lifted the holiday spirits of over 300 children!
Sergeant Miller, who helped coordinate the event with Sarahs Inn, said The police and Recreation Department support the
fight against domestic violence. Everyone at Sarahs Inn should be celebrated for the work theyve done for domestic
violence victims and the kids.
