MODIFIERS pretty selfexplanatory, they are modifiers
that are misplaced and can
either cause confusion or make
the sentence that much more
hilarious!

MISPLACED MODIFIERS
These are the types of modifiers
that are misplaced, it does not
fit in to the correct slot within
the sentence.
This can really result to severe
confusions and
misunderstandings

EXAMPLES OF

and slippery.
How wrong can a misplaced modifier be, you
ask? Well you can see the sentence above
yes. Moving on!
0 Biting a tennis ball, my grandmother saw my

dog, Molly.
The sentence seemed as if my grandma lost
her sanity.

CORRECTIONS!
0Correction: I walking down the, wet

and slippery street when I saw Lidia.

Now you see, it was the floor thats
wet See the more you know
0Correction: My grandmother saw my
dog, Molly, biting a tennis ball
It was actually Molly that was
chewing the ball.

DANGLING MODIFIERS
These are the types of modifiers
that needs additional words in
order for it to be correct.

subjects/objects in order for it to
make sense.

EXAMPLES OF DANGLING
MODIFIERS
0 Being very polluted and contaminated, Dr.

Lula thinks that the only way to fix Kali

Ciliwung is to remove all the houses from
around the river.
Now you might not want to meet Dr. Lula
knowing that she is a very polluted and
heavily contaminated person(?)
0 Riding down the street, crashed on to a
garbage truck.
What?

CORRECTIONS!

combination of both misplaced and
dangled modifiers
First the modifiers are missing its
subject/object and to make things

misplaced.
