his audience to add to their bucket list to watch this movie. To give them motivation and to see
the importance of accomplishing their list before passing on.

is never too late to start crossing things off your list. This will give another experience to the
paper and make the paper more relatable.

Najera 2
experiences have an effect on a person. Having positive experiences is most likely to have a
self-discovery, moment rather than a negative experience.
This relates to my topic because it talks about self-discovery and how positive
experiences such as rock climbing can become a self-discovery moment. I can use this
information to show that using a bucket list is a great way to experience positive moments in life
and discovery that you like or dislike. It would open up doors for one. Showing a person that
there is a lot one could discover about themselves.
The research focuses on how people change in the span of their life time. And that
positive moments help a person discovery new about themselves. The author goes on to say the
positive experiences are more affect than negative ones to learn something new about yourself.
The research is concrete due to the length and depth on the topic. The research provides a deep
understanding of self-discovery. It is written for academics to learn more about the topics.

action ones bucket list. Not to put it off for last minute not having any time to actually do it. As
the title said life is too short to put off things that someone has always wanted to do.
The article relates to my paper because Ill use this source to encourage my audience to cross
some things off their bucket list. So they can feel with a sense they one can go in peace. With no
last minute regrets.
This article focuses on the importance to take action in crossing things off ones bucket list.
The author provides insight of regret one might have if there one has passed on without
accomplishing the things that one wanted to enjoy in life. This article goes on to motivate the

McCandless, Carine. The Wild Truth. San Francisco, CA: Harper One, 2013. Print.
Carine McCandless is Chriss little sister. She has lived her brother before his adventure and
saw the aftermath of his disappearance.
This is a primary source: Due to Carines personal experience she is my main source. She
wrote a book about their family secrets and what might have driven Chris to try to rediscover
himself. She saw her family became after he left. How things started to change. She also started
to wonder why he left the way he did and why he did wanted to be discovered and what was

Najera 3
because of the familys dark secret. Chris had done everything right while being under his
familys roof. Then decided to go on a trip and unfortunately never came back to them.
Since Carines has personal experience of what happened to Chris. It will allow me to add
to Chris to my paper. Since we have to involve him. Her personal story will help me by add to
his personal experience throughout my paper bring it to life. His experience will show one of the
extremes of self-discovery. As well as how important can one put goals in their live. For Chris it
was Alaska and for one it might very different things. It just goes to show people everyone had
different interests and meaning for certain things. One just has to discover the right one and not
go to an extreme with it.
The book focuses on what happened in their family. How the familys secrets took a toll on
him. And how Chris left and watching what happened to her family after that. The author
provides a very specific aspect because of her personal experience being there and going through
everything. The ideas outlined is the authors personal ideas and factual things they found on
Chris. The book is very specific about what happened in their family and Chris. The writing style
is a narrative of what happened.
Mirgain, Shilagh. "How a Bucket List Can Help You." UW Health. N.p., 21 July 2014. Web. 14
Mar. 2016.
Dr. Mirgain has a PhD in Health Psychology, she did her fellowship in Stanford
University, internship at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, and did medical school at
the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. So I would say she knows what she is talking
about in the article. She even has her own clinic in Wisconsin. Her research involves around
behavioral medicine. She has also have made three publications in 2004, 2005, and 2007 about
psychology.
This is an internet source (Google): This article talks about how a bucket list can help
one. Just like the title indicates, it explains how to find what is meaningful to one. Also how to
start up a bucket list for ones personal taste. It helps by giving step by step, to set up the perfect
bucket list for anyone. Dr. Mirgain actually talks about how ones bucket list is a psychological
indication of how the list represents of what one might want to get out of their life. She also tells
her audience that the list does not have to be as adventurous as others it could be small things. In
general it has to be things that take you out of your comfort zone and day to day life routine. The
list is to help you explore who you are and find what one might think is their purpose in life.
This article is very relative to my paper because I am precisely writing about selfdiscovery and adventure. And this article helps me explain how bucket lists is a great way to
start. Due to the fact that Dr.Mirgain talks about how the list is related from what you want out of
life. SHe even goes on to say that even if you do not accomplish everything on your bucket list
but at least make it and take a look at it, to see the things you want from life and what kind
person are you. The list is essentially a simply way to learn about you. Learn things that you
might never even thought about doing. Or discovering what you want to accomplish with your
life. To have a sense you did something that fo you might be very significant in your life.

This article focuses on three main issues. These are how are bucket list good for you, how
the list is a way to know truly who you are, and how to make the best list for yourself. The author
provides a useful list of suggested how to make the best bucket list for you. Such as questions
provided like What are your dreams in life?, What experiences do you want to be a part of?, If
you had unlimited resources (time, money, etc.) what would you do?, Are there any skills you've
always wanted to learn?, Any places you've always wanted to visit?, and What can you do to
help your community? The ideas outlined in this article appear to be largely the authors personal
observation from what she could see in her patients since she is a psychologist she knows what
the list could really do in your personal life. The article provides a basic overview of how the
bucket list can help you. Although written for a knowledgeable audience, the writing style is
informal but in a way for everyone to understand and make it easier for the audience to realize
how good making that kind of list can help an individual.
Strayed, Cheryl. Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail. N.p.: Alfred A. Knopf,
2012. Print.
Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail is a book based on a true story of
Cheryl Strayed of how her adventure at Pacific Crest started and ended. Also how the trail
impacted her life.
This is the book source: Cheryl Strayed personally went through a similar experience like
Chris. They both went on an adventure to see what they were truly made of. But she went to the
Pacific Crest Trail. In June 1995, Strayed hiked 1,100 miles of the 2,663 mile long Pacific Crest
Trail. She began her journey in Mojave, California and finished her 94-day trek at the Bridge of
the Gods on the Oregon-Washington border. So she has personal experience of going through a
ruthless adventure alone and how it can impact her life after the experience.
Strayed book is related to my paper because Strayed shares a similar experience to
Chriss. Ill include her story on the trail like Chriss to involve my reader to their experience and
how their experiences helped them go through their path. What made them do the things they did
and where they both ended up.
The book is involved about Strayed going on the Pacific Crest trail. Why she did it and
how her experience was and where she ended up after that. The author provides personal insight
of what happened to her emotionally and physically on the trail. The book outlines her
experience of what she went through on the trail. It is specific because it is her personal
experience. The writer intended for adults audience, for those who wanted to see read about that
time on the trail.
