    1. Were you happy with your participation during the discussion? Why/Why not?

    2. Is there anything that you wish was said that wasnt, or that you would like to have
    brought up, but didnt? What is it? What was one thing said which made you think about
    something you hadnt thought of before or in so much depth?

    3. Did the discussion influence your thinking about a question, topic or text? How? Did you
    change your opinion during the discussion, what changed it?

    4. What are your final thoughts regarding Transcendentalism, the discussion process, etc.?

    5. Was this process easier or more difficult for you to explain your ideas and participate
    effectively in than writing an essay, or taking a test?

    6. On a scale of 1-4, how close are you to the following goal, now that we have completed
    the discussion?
    Goal: Understand the discussion questions clearly and how they relate to the
    transcendental texts and real life. Understand the concepts and beliefs behind the
    transcendental movement and application to modern day.
    1= I am lost. I do not understand the concepts, activity, or the connection to the
    posted/previously mentioned goal.
    2= I am getting there. Some things are still unclear (as far as the concepts and connections
    between the lesson/activity and the overall purpose) but some of it is making sense.
    3= I feel pretty confident. I could easily tell a classmate what was going on and I feel
    comfortable that I am making strong connections between the lesson/activity and its purpose.
    4= I am 100% confident. The lesson/activity makes complete sense to me and I can easily
    understand and discuss its purpose and connection to the goal.
