Classroom management Plan.

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

Classroom Management
They may forget what you said but they will
never forget how you make them feel
Preamble
As an Educator it is important to know each one of my students as a
diverse person with diverse learning abilities. It is important to love teaching
and hope to have my classroom and environment reflect that. I hope to
create and foster a thirst for learning in my students. That they may discover
a world they never knew within the subjects they are learning about. I
believe in a safe learning environment and really focus on creating a strong
classroom community with each other in which the student will be able to
feel safe, encouraged, stability and consistency and even variability that will
help them in life. I do not tolerate bullying or putting down, and believe in a
environment of second chances and helping and uplifting each other. My
class is a family and will learn and grow together. I believe in teaching with
love, patience, understanding, making mistakes and learning from them. My
goal is to prepare a generation of children to acquire a diverse wealth of
knowledge that will create leaders that will lead our society.

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

The Point of Having all these rules is to build a safe classroom

community! " WE THE PEOPLE
Preventative Strategies:
1. Scholarly Habits-At the start of the school year the first two
weeks the students will be introduced to and creating rules
that will help promote scholarly habits needed for success in
the classroom. During the first week we will be discussing
what a good student looks like, and what they do.
Class Agreement students will be coming up with two
things to add to the class agreement they will promise
to do in order for them to be a successful student in
class and for the class to be successful. They will also
be coming up with two consequences for those rules if
they do not follow the agreement. Their will be a total
of 5 agreements/rules. They will be signing it as well.
It will be copied with signatures and they will also have
a mini version taped on their desk as a reminder.
Visuals of what appropriate behavior looks like and
what it does not look like will be available with each
habit they have agreed and signed to work on.
Role modeling of appropriate behavior according to
their agreement will be shown.
2. Maintaining a Positive Classroom Environment - From the
beginning of the school year students will be introduced to the
morning starter which will be a quick 10 min morning meeting on
Mondays, and then 5 quick minutes the rest of the week to talk
about the schedule for the day and any quick announcements.
This will allow the students to walk in first thing in the morning
put their things away meet at the carpet in which they can talk to
their peers as everyone comes in to get them warmed up and
give those students who are in need of communication to be able
CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

to do so. It will also allow to get the whole class to switch their
brains into school mode. At the end of day their will be a quick 5
min to talk about their peachy and pit moment of the day. Their
peachy moment is their favorite part of the day ( it could be
anything) and their pit will be their least favorite and why that
may have been. This allows the teacher to get feedback on things
going well and what may need to get addressed more
academically or behaviorally. Being able to do these morning
procedures and closing marks will help students take a deep
breath and start the day on a positive note and end it positively
as well with reflection.
Morning Routine
In the Morning music will be playing as the children
walk in. (nothing too loud but to ease them in and wake
them up) They will put things away during this time.

what they need to do each morning. (home folder= unfinished
work, homework packet) ( reading envelope= carries books
home)

everyone is present, or assign a question of the day for
them to talk about.

still to accomplish it.

to have a successful day that day.
