Observation lesson - Roman invention/Aqueducts


Outline:
1. How do we use water in our lives today? (quick brainstorm drink, hygiene,
clean stuff, farm, etc.)
2. What if you lived 2000 years ago and there was no water nearby? What if
the closest fresh water was 50 miles away? How would you get that water?
(partner share/share out)
3. Romans found this to be a struggle too. They invented a way to move water
from a far away place to their city. They invented aqueducts.
4. Show pictures of aqueducts. Discuss.
5. Form groups
