    RFID Basics

    RFID system consists of three basic components. They are RFID Reader, RFID
    Transponder and the Host System. RFID Reader transmits the radio signal
    which energizes the passive transponder. RFID tag then transmits the unique
    identification number along with the data, if any, back to the reader. The
    communication happens through a radio link between the Tag and the Reader.
    Host computer or system then receives the data through the reader and manages
    the information flow.
