June 8, 2010

The Dothan Police Department is asking for the help of our local media
and community. Police responded to a local hospital this morning shortly
after 1:00 a.m. where the victim of a gunshot was being treated. The
Investigative Division responded and spoke with the victim who had been
shot in the back with what is believed to be a revolver. Investigators
learned the shooting occurred during a narcotic transaction between the
victim and suspect. The victim was hospitalized with what investigators
say is a serious injury. A warrant has been signed for Ezra Roy, a twenty
seven year old black male believed to reside in Slocomb, Alabama.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Roy is asked to call the
Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers (334)793-7000.

• Ezra Roy, black male, 27 years of age, of Slocomb, Al. is wanted


for First Degree Assault with a $500,000 bond.
