Lahore School of Economics
Purpose

The purpose to start this business is to serve people of new era with a
different and the most competitive style and we want to cater to the
LSE student body who has grown bored with the food available in LSE.
The prime purpose is to generate profit by providing superb customer
services. Our aim is to provide the hygienic and delicious tastes of
snacks and drinks that the customers have never tasted before. We
want to add convenience in the lives of fast food lovers by providing
them the most wonderful food experiences.
COMPANY-INTRODUCTION
• Aud1 Snackers is a business for students by students. It is
intended to be initiated by students of MBA-1 Lahore School of
Economics at campus.
• The business is in a start-up mode. Plans call for starting
operation by the start of June 2010.

MARKET TRENDS
• Students are more interested in buying fast food which they can
eat with convenience. If we offer quality fast food with proper
hygiene then students are going to prefer our snack shop.
Especially products which are not offered at campus café’s.
• Also the student body has grown bored with the selection of
snacks available in LSE.

OBJECTIVES

Aud1 Snackers objectives are:

• Become the most highly rated spot among the teenagers in LSE.
• Turn in profits from operations.
• Maintain a healthy gross profit margin.

Keys to Success

The keys to success will be:

• Store design that will be both visually attractive to customers,


and designed for fast and efficient operations.
• Employee training to insure the best food service techniques.
• Marketing strategies aimed to build a solid base of loyal
customers, as well as maximizing the sales of high margin
products, such as drinks.

Mission

Aud-1 Snackers will make its best effort to create a unique place where
students can enjoy the best snacks in campus. We will be providing a
platform to let our customers express themselves and enjoy their
favorite sport to their fullest, by providing fun filled and great
ambience, convenient location, friendly customer service, and products
of consistently high quality.

Company Summary

Aud1 Snackers is a Snack shop that sells beverages and snacks in its
on campus shop.

Company Ownership

Aud-1 Snackers will be owned jointly by MBA-1 Session LSE.

Start-up Summary

The start-up expenses include:

• Marketing promotion expenses for the grand opening of Aud-1


Snackers in the amount of Rs. 10,000, the promotion shall cover
all entrances and cafes.
• No Consultants fees needs to be paid since we will be sourcing
the relevant people from within families of the owners.
• Other start-up expenses including Microwave, fridges and
blenders etc most of which will be rented out. (Rs.12,000)
• Start-up inventory of Rs.30,000, which includes snacks, drinks
and other supporting inventory.
• Retail supplies (napkins, coffee bags, cleaning, etc.) – Rs.10,000
• Other miscellaneous expenses – Rs.30,000

Funding for the company comes from major source--owners'

Products

Aud-1 Snackers will offer its customers the best tasting snacks and
beverages. Products will include Pizza’s, sandwiches, paratha rolls,
Burgers, French fries, Fresh juices, cokes, mineral water, samosas,
haleem naan, shawarma, Amore Ice Cream and many more.

Sales Literature

Hundred flyers will be distributed in the LSE Campus within two days
prior to the opening of Aud-1 Snackers. Subsequently, posters with
Aud-1 Snackers endorsement will be printed and strategically placed to
increase the company visibility among the Students and faculty
members.

Market Analysis Summary

Pakistan fast food consumption has shown steady growth. Fast food
eaters in the campus area are among the most demanding ones. Aud-1
Snackers will strive to build a loyal customer base by offering a great
tasting food in an environment which they can cherish.
Market Segmentation/Sales Forecast.

Aud-1 Snackers will focus its marketing activities on reaching the


University students and faculty. Our market research shows that these
are the customer groups that are most likely to buy our products. The
chart and table below outline the total market potential (in number of
customers).

Market Needs

General trend toward quality among Pakistani consumers definitely


plays an important role in the recent growth in snack café culture.
Additionally, such factors as desire for small indulgencies, for
something more exotic and unique, provide a good selling opportunity
for snack bars.

Strategy and Implementation Summary

Aud-1 Snackers's marketing strategy will be focused at getting new


customers and getting customers to spend more and come back more
often. Establishing a loyal customer base is of a paramount importance
since such customer core will not only generate most of the sales but
also will provide favorable referrals.

Competitive Edge

Aud-1 Snackers will position itself as unique snack bar where its
patrons can not only enjoy a plate of perfectly cooked Pizza. Dimmed
light and quiet relaxing music will help the customers to relax from the
daily stresses and will differentiate Aud-1 Snackers from incumbent
competitors.

Sales Strategy

Aud-1 Snackers baristas will handle the sales transactions. To speed up


the customer service, at least two employees will be servicing clients--
while two employees will be preparing the customer's order, the other
one will be taking care of the sales transaction. All sales data logged
on the manual point-of-sale terminal will be later analyzed for
marketing purposes.
In order to build up its client base, Aud-1 Snackers will use banners and
fliers, utilize customer referrals and cross-promotions with other
businesses in the community. At the same time, customer retention
programs will be used to make sure the customers are coming back
and spending more at the snacks bar.

Management Summary

Aud-1 Snackers is majority-owned by MBA 1 students of Lahore school


of Economics. We all have business contact that we will leverage to
help our new venture succeed. Under such management, the snacks
bar will consistently increase sales while maintaining a lower than
average level of operating expenses. Part-time employees will be hired
to fulfill the staffing needs when the students have classes or are
unable to carry out the duties assigned to them.

There will be a group of seven individuals who will be responsible for


the overall running of the shop and they are;

i) Adnan Us Sadiq.

ii) Usman Tahir.

iii) Afshan Munir.

iv) Zoaa Faiq.

v) Ahmed Jawaad Kaleem.

vi) Khalid Majid.

vii) Misha Bashir.

Each person will have a support team to help them along the way and
help in carrying out the tasks delegated to them. The support team
consists of both males and females to provide diversity.
