This website talked about the events that led up to the Red Scare. Although it talked about the first Red Scare, it helped because the two Red Scares had distinctive similarities.

This website tells us about the effects of communism on the U.S. government and how it led to many changes. Many people in the government were accused of being disloyal to the government because people thought they were siding with communists. It also talks about how the Communist Party of Washington State was affected by the events during the Red Scare.

This site was useful because it provided us with interviews and a timeline, which we used on our website, and gave us a few facts about who were involved in the Red Scare. The website mainly gave us information on McCarthyism.

But, some of them applied to the second Red Scare so because of it being used for the second Red Scare, it is classified as a secondary source. Some of these cartoons can be found on the "Radical Cartoons" page on our website.

And, it explains the effects of the Red Scare on American citizens. It also talks about the concerns about communism.

Sherman, Josepha. The Cold War. Minneapolis: Lerner Publications, 2004. Print. This book has a few chapters that relate directly to our topic. But, chapter three has the most information that we will be able to use on our website.
