FORTNIGHTLY NEWSLETTER
Edition 66November 30th 2012
Welcome to the Sixty Sixth Edition .

K3 singing at Disneyland recently.

Swimming Policy Please be aware that it is school policy for children who are not swimming to remain at school during swimming lessons. The children will be provided with appropriate work to complete and will join a different class and be administered by a different teacher. This will minimize concerns that the atmosphere in the pool will be worse for their illness. Please note however (as previously mentioned in the Nanohana) that there is an expectation that if your child is well enough to come to school they are well enough to swim; as this remains an important part of the school curriculum. If they are not well enough to go swimming (which is part of the MIS Curriculum) they are not well enough to come to school. Thank you.
Nichinoken (Juku) Yesterday was the last Juku session for our current Grade 6 children taking Juku lessons from Nichinoken. We hope this has been a useful experience and that the children are more ready to take entrance examinations in the near future. We already know that James in Grade 6 has been accepted to Nishimachi International School and Tokyo International School. Both are excellent schools so we are very proud of his achievements.
Upcoming visits Over the upcoming weeks I will be visiting various schools in Tokyo to make presentations and promote MIS. I hope this helps persuade more children to enroll.
