Online applications are invited for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG), 2013 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi as per the following schedule for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in All Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India. * Date of Examination - 5th May, 2013 (Sunday). PATTERN OF EXAMINATION: I. The NEET (UG) Entrance Examination shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). II. The duration of paper would be 03 hours. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: (i) Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are Eligible for appearing in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) (ii) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. course. Scheme of Selection: (i) All the candidates shall be screened based on fulfillment of eligibility criteria of age, qualification and work experience. (ii) All eligible candidates post screening shall have to undergo an assessment process comprising cognitive, management aptitude sections. All eligible candidates appearing in the assessment process online (written Exam), shall be given a score based on their performance in the same. (b) Personal Interview: 25%. 8. Minimum qualifying standards: Since the pattern of the question paper is the multiple choice/objective type, negative marking will be adopted. For each wrong answer, 25% marks of that question shall be deducted. To test the minimum aptitude level in both the parts in written Exam, part wise minimum qualifying marks will be 40%, 35% and 30% for Gen, OBC and SC/ST/PH candidates respectively. Candidates obtaining less than minimum qualifying marks in any of the sections shall not be considered for inclusion in the merit list. However, the merit list for interview shall be prepared based on aggregate marks obtained in both the sections/parts in the written examination. Number of candidates to be called for interview shall depend on the merit of the candidates & No. of vacancies. The appearance of the name in the merit list does not confer any right on the candidate for employment. A final call letter/appointment order will be issued to the candidate after completion of all other formalities. 9. Scheme of examination and syllabus: There will be one paper with 150 multiple choice objective type questions of three hours duration as per the syllabus mentioned below: Part-I: Management aptitude (75 Questions) containing the subjects of General management, Management Information systems, Managerial Economics, Marketing, Accounting & Finance, Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, strategic Management, Operation Management, Telecom Knowledge, and Current events of national and international importance. Choice of Examination Centre: (i) Applicants are required to indicate their choice of Examination Centre at which they wish to appear.
