    This spiritual home and educational center was founded in 1962 by Hanna Kroeger and Rudolf Kroeger. While their original intention was to build a European-style spa with good, natural food and lots of pampering, Peaceful Meadow Retreat became a place to find avant-garde holistic remedies and profound spiritual healing. Each summer until her death in 1998, Hanna held very popular weekly classes based on a culmination of her teachings known as the 7 Physical and 7 Spiritual Causes of Ill Health. People come to the Retreat and leave with their lives changed forever. Hanna was an extraordinary intuitive healer, master dowser, herbalist, homeopath and scientist.

    Hanna's techniques for healing body, mind and spirit are practiced all over the world. Today, we continue teaching Hanna's work and embrace many other natural healng techinques. Many of our instructors in these related modalities began their work with Hanna and expanded Hanna'a visions into new and exciting fields.

    Gisela Kroeger Hoffman


    Gisela, daughter of Hanna and Rudolph Kroeger, took over the running of Peaceful Meadow Retreat after Hanna made her transition. She was a college statistics professor for 12 years, followed by a second career as a database designer in several industries. This, her third career, is her most happy and fulfilling one. She is a minister at the Chapel of Miracles, the author of a biography of her mother, a teacher in classes across the country as well as at the retreat, and is CEO of Kroeger Herb Products and President of Hannas Herb Shop.
