OWNER AND/OR OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITY

It is the owner and/or operators responsibility to read and understand all WARNINGS, operating, and maintenance instructions contained on the product label and instruction manual prior to operation of this unit. It is also the owner and/or operators responsibility to provide maintenance, maintain all decals or warning labels and in general while in use, maintain the unit in good working order. If the owner and/or operator is not fluent in English, or Spanish, the product warnings and instructions shall be read to and discussed with the operator in the operators native language by the purchaser/owner or his designee, making sure that the operator comprehends its contents.

OPERATION

Before use, a visual inspection of the jack should be made looking for bent, worn or loose parts, or hydraulic leaks. If any of these conditions exist, the jack should be removed from service. Place the handle on the release valve and rotate in a clockwise direction until closed. Do not overtighten. Place the handle in the pump socket and pump up and down. The saddle should start to rise indicating it is ready for use. If the saddle fails to rise after the pumping action, consult the section under Troubleshooting for System Air Purge.

Make sure the jack and the vehicle are on a hard level surface. Always set the vehicle parking brake and block the wheels. Consult the vehicles owners manual to ascertain the location of jack points and position the jack beneath the prescribed lift point. Turn the release valve clockwise to closed position. Do Not Overtighten! Pump the handle and raise the vehicle to the desired height. Place jack stands beneath the vehicle at locations recommended by the vehicle manufacturer, and do not get under the vehicle without jack stands, as jacks are not designed to maintain these heavy loads for long time periods. 7. Turn release valve SLOWLY counterclockwise to lower the vehicle onto the jack stands.

MAINTENANCE
Monthly maintenance is recommended. Lubrication is critical to jacks as they support heavy loads. Any restriction due to dirt, rust, etc., can cause either slow movement or extremely rapid jerks, damaging the internal components. The following steps are those designed to keep your jack well lubed: 1. Lubricate the ram, linkages, saddle and pump mechanism with light oil. 2. Visually inspect for cracked, bent, loose, or missing parts or hydraulic oil leaks. 3. If jack is subjected to abnormal load or shock, remove from service and have it examined by an Authorized Repair Service. 4. Clean all surfaces and maintain all labels and warnings. 5. Check and maintain oil level.

CHECKING OIL LEVEL

!!WARNING!! Do not use brake or transmission fluids, or regular motor oil as they can damage the seals. Always purchase and use products labeled Hydraulic Jack Oil. 1. Turn release valve counterclockwise to allow ram to fully retract. It may be necessary to apply force to the saddle for lowering. 2. Stand jack in vertical position with saddle at the top. 3. With jack in level position remove oil fill plug. Oil should be even with the bottom of the hole. If not, top up. Do not overfill. Always fill with new, clean hydraulic jack oil. 4. Replace fill plug. 5. Check jack operation. At this time, consult Troubleshooting for System Air Purge.

TROUBLESHOOTING
System Air Purge Turn release valve counterclockwise one full turn to open. Pump handle eight full strokes

Turn release valve clockwise to close valve. Pump handle until the saddle reaches maximum height and continue pumping several times to remove trapped air in the ram. Turn release valve counterclockwise one full turn and lower saddle to the lowest position. Use force if necessary. Turn release valve clockwise to closed position and check for proper pump action. It may be necessary to perform the above more than once to assure air is evacuated totally.

FUNCIONAMIENTO
Call customer service Antes de utilizarlo, se deber realizar una inspeccin visual del gato para buscar piezas dobladas, gastadas o fIojas o prdidas hidrulicas. Si existiera alguna de estas condiciones deber quitar el gato de servicio. Coloque Ia manija sobre Ia vIvula de liberacin y haga girar en el mismo sentido que giran las manecillas del reloj hasta que est cerrada. No ajuste demasiado! Coloque Ia manija en el dado del bombeador (y bombee hacia arriba y hacia abajo. El asiento deber comenzar a elevarse indicando que est listo para ser utilizado. Si el asiento no se eleva despus de bombear, consulte con Ia seccin de Resolucin de Problemas para Ia liberacin de aire del sistema.

FACTORY SERVICE
Any hydraulic jack found to be worn or damaged in any way, or operating abnormally SHALL BE REMOVED FROM SERVICE UNTIL REPAIRED. Owners and/or operators should be aware that repair of the equipment requires specialized knowledge and facilities. Only factory authorized parts, labels and decals shall be used on this equipment. Call the customer service department.

USO DEL GATO

1. Asegrese de que el gato y el vehiculo se encuentren en una superficie dura y nivelada. 2. Coloque siempre el freno de mano del vehculo y bloquee las ruedas. 3. Asegrese de que no haya ningn obstculo en Ia trayectoria para las ruedas del gato, ya que estas se mueven durante el proceso de levantamiento. 4. Haga girar Ia vlvula de liberacin en el mismo sentido que giran las manecillas del reloj hasta Ia posicin cerrada. No ajuste demasiado! 5. MODO DE BAJAR EL VEHCULO

1. Haga girar Ia vlvula de liberacin en el mismo sentido que giran las manecillas del reloj hasta la posicin cerrada. 2. Bombee Ia manija para elevar el vehculo de las bases del gato. 3. Quite las bases del gato. No se coloque debajo del vehculo ni permita que nadie lo haga. 4. Haga girar Ia vlvula de liberacin LENTAMENTE en sentido contrario al que giran las manecillas del reloj para bajar el vehculo hasta el piso.

ALMACENAMIENTO DEL GATO

Almacene su gato siempre en posicin completamente descendida. Esto evitar que zonas importantes se oxiden excesivamente.

MANTENIMIENTO
Se recomienda el mantenimiento mensual. La lubricacin es de suma importancia para los gatos, ya que soportan cargas esadas y cualquier restriccin ocasionada por suciedad, oxidacin, etc. puede causar, ya sea un movimiento lento o saltos extremadamente rpidos, daando los componentes internos. Los siguientes pasos son los designados para mantener al gato bien lubricado: 1 Lubrique el ariete, uniones, asientos y el mecanismo de bombeo con aceite liviano. Engrase los conjinetes de la ruedas y ejes 2. Inspeccione visualmente de soldaduras agrietadas, piezas dobladas, sueltas o que faltan, o prdidas de aceite hidruIico. 3. Si al gato se lo somete a cargas anormales o choques, deje de utilizarlo y hgalo examinar por un Servicio de Reparaciones Autorizado. 4. Limpie todas las superficies y mantenga todas las etiquetas y advertencias. 5. Inspeccione y mantenga el nivel de aceite del ariete.

MODO DE INSPECCIONAR EL NIVEL DE ACEITE

ADVERTENCIA!! No utilice lquido para frenos ni para transmisin ni tampoco aceite para motores, ya que los mismos pueden daar las juntas. Compre y use siempre los productos etiquetados Aceite para Gatos Hidrulicos. 1. Haga girar Ia vlvuIa de liberacin en sentido contrario al que giran las manecillas del reloj para permitir que el ariete se retraiga completamente. Puede ser necesario hacerle fuerza al asiento para bajarlo. 2. Base del gato en posicin vertical con asiento en la superior. 3. Con el gato colocado en una posicin nivelada, quite el tapn para Ilenar aceite. El aceite debe encontrarse pareja con el fondo del orificio. Si no lo est, Ilnelo. No lo Ilene demasiado. Llene siempre con un aceite para gatos hidrulicos limpio y nuevo. 4. Bombee Ia manija hasta que el brazo de elevacin alcance Ia altura mxima y contine bombeando varias veces para quitar el aire que se encuentra atrapado en el mbolo. 5. Vuelva a colocar el tapn de carga. Vuelva a colocar Ia placa de inspeccin. En este momento, consulte con Ia seccin de Resolucin de Problemas para Ia Liberacin del Sistema de Aire.

RESOLUCIN DE PROBLEMAS
Purgado del Sistema de Aire 1. Haga girar Ia vIvuIa de Iiberacin en sentido contrario al que giran las manecillas del reloj una vuelta completa para abrirla. 2. Bombee Ia manija ocho veces . 3. Para cerrar Ia vlvula haga girar Ia vlvuIa de liberacin en el mismo sentido que giran las manecillas del reloj. 4. Bombee Ia manija hasta que el asiento alcance Ia altura mxima y contine bombeando varias veces para quitar el aire que se encuentra atrapado en el mbolo. 5. Haga girar Ia vlvula de Iiberacin en sentido contrario al que giran las manecillas del reloj una vuelta completa y baje el brazo elevador hasta Ia posicin ms baja. Haga fuerza si fuera necesario. 6. Haga girar Ia vlvula de liberacin en el mismo sentido que giran las manecillas del reloj hasta Ia posicin cerrada y verifique que Ia accin de bombeo sea Ia adecuada. Podr ser necesario hacer lo indicado anteriormente ms de una vez para asegurarse de que el aire ha sido completamente evacuado.

SERVICIO DE FABRICA
CuaIquier gato hidraulico que se compruebe que est daado o gastado de algn modo o que funciona anormalmente DEBER SER QUITADO DE SERVICIO HASTA HABER SIDO REPARADO. Los propietarios y/o operarios debern estar conscientes que para reparar el equipo se necesita conocimientos e instalaciones especializadas. Solomente las piezas, etiquetas y calcomantas de fbrica autorizadas debern ser utilizadas para este equipo. Llame al departamento de servicios para el comsumidor.

ALTERACIONES
Debido a los peligros potenciales asociados con el mal uso de equipo de este tipo, no debern realizarse alteraciones al producto sin Ia autorizacin escrita del fabricante o proveedor.
