HOMECOMING PARADE TODAY, OCT. 11, at 1:30pm beginning at Eastpoint Big Top
Students who are bus riders will be taken to the parade, then immediately afterwards, taken home. H/S & M/S students will be released to load buses at 12:55pm. Elementary students will be released to load buses at 1:00pm. Students who are car riders should be picked up at the times given above for bus riders.

NEXT WEEK IS NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH WEEK


Its that time of year again. Starting Mon, Oct. 14, Franklin County School will be celebrating National School Lunch Week. The weeklong celebration will include PRE-K TO 12th GRADE. There will be contests & prizes for each grade level, as well as individual prizes. H/S students will be having an essay writing contest. M/S students will be doing a recipe contest to see who can come up with the best recipes for lunch entrees. Grades 4-5 will be doing food related art to represent the five different regions in the United States. Grades 2-3 are being asked to write a paragraph about their favorite school lunch & why they like it so much. Pre-K, KG, & 1st grade are being asked to do a coloring contest by grade level. Teachers are asked to have their submissions ready by Oct. 11 so the art work & essays can be used as part of the decorations for the Lunch Week celebration. April Dalton, FCS Food Service

**UPDATE on The NEST 21st Century After School Program: The Franklin County School District does not yet have grant
approval from the Department of Education on the Century 21st Grant which funds the after school program in Eastpoint & Carrabelle. Keep checking the Nest link in the quick links section of the home page at franklincountyschools.org As soon as we get approval, starting dates will be posted.
GED INFO The next GED Test will be given Oct. 21 & 22 at the Franklin County School library at 6:00pm. To register for the test or for classes, contact Maxine Creamer @ 670-4481.
