EZLine
The EZLine* electric submersible pump system has been designed to address most commonly
encountered well environments. Featuring basic yet robust and field-proven conventional design and
covering an extensive range of flow and head configurations, EZLine systems are good solutions for
classic applications that are not overly corrosive and do not produce excessive amounts of solids and
gas. In such environments, these systems provide excellent performance at a very competitive price.
For more challenging applications, operators may choose from a number of upgrades available for EZLine
electric submersible pumps, resulting in a system that is tailored for specific well requirements without
having to pay extra for unnecessary options. Qualified Schlumberger artificial lift application engineers
will help identify which system is best suited for a particular application and provides maximum run life at
minimal investment.
EZLine pumps
Available in 400 and 540 series, EZLine pumps cover flow rates from 150 to 14,000 bbl/d at 60 Hz [19 to
1,850 m
3
/d at 50 Hz].
Monel

K-500 shafts are standard, and higher-strength Monel or Inconel

shafts are available for higher-

head applications.
The EZLine pump shaft assembly is stabilized with tungsten carbide bearings in the head and base of the
pump that provide additional shaft stability, even in mildly abrasive applications.
All EZLine pumps use Ni-resist alloy cast and precision computer numerical controlmachined stages,
which provide superior wear and corrosion resistance and increased electric submersible pump run life.
Improved stage designs with enhanced hydraulic characteristics ensure shorter, more compact, and
simplified installations and significant power cost savings over the entire life of the electric submersible
pump.
EZLine gas separators and intakes
Depending on the amount of free gas in the produced fluid, standard intakes or rotary gas separators
with tungsten carbide radial bearings are available for the EZLine system. The use of a gas separator is
recommended if the volume fraction of free gas exceeds 15%.
EZLine protectors
EZLine protectors, available in 400 series and 540 series, have a modular design and combine labyrinth
and elastomer bag chambers connected either in series or parallel for optimal motor protection.
Depending on the application, two or three chamber protector designs are available. If necessary,
protectors may also be connected in tandem for additional redundancy.
EZLine motors
Presented in 456 and 540 industry-standard series, EZLine motors are optimized for application in cool
(200 degF [93 degC]) or medium (250 degF [121 degC]) temperature well environments.
EZLine motors can be run as single units or connected in tandem for up to 240 hp at 60 Hz in the 456 series
and 400 hp at 60 Hz in the 540 series. Phoenix* artificial lift downhole monitoring system options are also
available.
Unique self-locking rotor bearings feature two spring-loaded pins that reliably lock the bearing in place
when the rotor is rotating. This prevents bearing spinning, one of the most common failure modes in other
motor designs. The stator is wound with double-wrapped polyimide tapeinsulated magnet wire.
