    Nikah/Marriage Procedures
    Please note the following:
    1. A convenient Nikah date must be agreed between all parties. 2. You must present TWO forms of identification, one with a photo and one with a UK permanent address. It is your responsibility to produce the original documents, AND a photocopy of each document for Al-Ansaar Welfare & Education to retain. These documents must be produced before the Nikah date. 3. Two male witnesses MUST be present at the time of Nikah. Al-Ansaar Welfare & Education will not provide any witnesses. 4. The current fee is 50. 20 is payable on registration, and the remainder on the Nikah day. Do note that the 20 is NOT refundable once an application is submitted and then withdrawn. 5. If you fail to make it on the agreed Nikah date, then inform us well in advance. A new date will then be agreed. 6. Certain marriages conducted without the blessings of parents are valid under Shariah (Islamic) law. Do note that Al-Ansaar Welfare & Education will merely conduct the Nikah (so that both parties may live together lawfully); under no circumstances you will draw us into any personal conflicts. For our interests, Al-Ansaar Welfare & Education should be made aware of such marriages. 7. You must present the relevant information required at least three working days before the Nikah. This includes names etc of bride, bridegroom and witnesses (see attached paper). 8. Before the Nikah a disclaimer (see attached copy) will have to be signed. Do note that the Nikah will not proceed till this disclaimer is signed and witnessed in our presence.
