Lyo in a box
To shorten the time schedule and minimize risk and testing, a part of the building was sent to BOC Edwards. The complete lyophilizer system (chamber, condensor and Compressor skid) was installed directly into the modules and all testing was performed in their work shop. Meanwhile the rest of the building was already on it s way to the client s site.

Conclusions
The Modular concept allows for different kinds of FLEXIBILITY
OWNER: - Early finish or deferred start - Allocation period of capital expenditure optimized - Much faster depreciation possibilities of the facility (not fixed asset) DESIGN & FABRICATION: - Customized solution, standardized approach (20/80) - Off-site construction in several locations (executor, vendors) - Batch approach to fabrication (independent blocks) - Independent site preparation work (not on critical path) - Less disturbances for ongoing work on site
