Editing
A Word Processor can assist in the Editing Process.
Effective Editing requires Efficient Typing skills. A User can
only acquire Typing Skills through dedicated practice – there
is no other way.
Editing may also involve
(1) Effective Movement of the Cursor around the document to
different edit points
a. Use of the Mouse and Space Key
b. Use of Home, End, Page Up, Page Down
c. Use of Arrow keys
d. Use of Enter key – to move cursor to new line
e. Use of Ctrl Key to move to Beginnnin or End of Lines or
Paragraph
(2) Selection and Copying/Pasting of Words, Sentences and
Paragraphs
a. Use of Mouse
b. Selection and Use of Copy and Paste Commands in the
Edit Menu or Standard ToolBar
(3) Use of Redo and Undo Command in the Edit Menu
(4) Use Find, Replace and Goto Commands for longer documents

Formatting
A Word Processor can assist making a document more readable and
attractive by good formatting by change the appearance of letters
and words and highlighting
Formatting may involve
(1) Selecting different new fonts in the Format Menu or
Formatting Toolbar
(2)Use of Bold, Underline and Italic
(3)Alignment of Paragraphs
(4) Changing the Indentation of Paragraphs
(5)Bulleting Lists of Points
(6)Creating Borders and Shading
