Clinical Experience:
Hematology - reporting peripheral smears, running cell counters, bone marrow aspirates and biopsy, reticulocyte count, ESR, PCV, cross checking low hemoglobin by Drabkins method, coagulation studyprothrombin time, calculating INR. Emergency laboratory duty - CBC, CSF processing, prothrombin time, ABG. Blood bank - bleeding donors, component separation, blood grouping, cross matching and issuing blood, HIV, HBsAg, VDRL testing.
Cytology - doing fine needle aspiration cytology, preparing smears from fluids, giemsa and pap stain. Fluid cytology - CSF, pleural fluid, ascitic fluid, urine examination. Surgical pathology - grossing, taking sections, slides, special stainsReticulin, PAS, Alcian Blue, GMS, ZN, Von Kossa etc, frozen sections -GI pathology -Renal pathology -Pediatric pathology -Neuropathology-grossing brain, taking sections, squash preparation -Cardiovascular pathology-congenital heart disease, lung pathology. Autopsy - performing autopsy, giving provisional cause of death, taking sections, final cause of death. Teaching Experience: I was involved in teaching undergraduates, junior residents, DMLT students, BPT/BOT, nursing staff, and house officers and this provided me a good insight into teaching aspect of my profession. Work Experience: 1. Worked as a senior resident in the department of lab medicine of AIIMS from August 2007 to March 2008. 2. Worked as a senior resident in the department of histopathology and cytopathology at St Stephens Hospital Tis Hazari, Delhi from March 2008 to august 2008. 3. Worked as SR in histopathology at Tata memorial hospital, Mumbai from September 2008 to 31 July 2009. 4. Worked as Clinical Assistant in the department of histopathology at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital and research centre, Rohini, Delhi. Joined the department as a senior resident in October, 2009 to June 2012. 5. Presently working as a Specialist at RGCIRC, Rohini, DELHI.
