ANNOUNCEMENTS

Spring Easter Flowers The deadline to order flowers is TODAY. There are forms in the Narthex if anyone is still interested in ordering flowers for Easter in Memory or in Honor of a loved one. Maundy Thursday Soup Supper The Mission team will be sponsoring a Soup Supper on Maundy Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. before the service starts. Bring your friends! All donations will support mission outreach. We are also in need of Ushers for the Maundy Thursday Evening Service. Please contact the church office if you can serve. Concert Sunday April 27 at 3 pm Variety of Broadway and classical pieces by local professionals, Otis French euphonium, Marta Oberlin clarinet, and Sara Ferguson soprano, in solo and ensemble with our Andy, Joe, and Pauline. Friends and Business sponsor ad forms are on church web site. A table in Fellowship Hall also has ad forms, fliers to share and post, and sign-up sheets for helpers. Free admission. The offering will be donated to Family Promise. Want to Support TOM'S TREKIES on Sunday, May 4th? 1. Pray that we have good weather and successful sign-ups for those willing to walk 1 hour that Sunday as an alternative to traveling to Long Pond. 2. Pray that a team of people will walk from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. around the local area and ESU campus with Kathy. 3. Pray that a team of people will walk with Tom and Kathy from 12:15 - 1:15 p.m. around the local area and ESU campus. 4. Register for our team online at walkpae.nationalmssociety.org or call Tom at 570.426.1623. 5. Checks may be made out to NMSS. 6. Pray for all those living with MS in our congregation and community.

Reaching Out
Members of the church family who are no longer able to attend church are always happy to hear from you! Cards and notes may be sent to Emma Jean Martz, Pocono Tranquil Gardens, 329 East Brown St., East Stroudsburg, Pa. 18301. Available Health Care Equipment: Walkers, crutches, adult potty chairs, shower chairs, canes, wheelchairs, large number phone, Depends, and more. Please contact Peggy at 570-4213280, ext. 23. Stephen Ministry Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. 1 Peter 3:8 As we look at Jesus suffering, death, and resurrection, we observe the ultimate example of compassion. He now calls us to follow his example and to be deeply concerned for one another. Stephen Ministry is a ministry filled with compassion, providing a haven where those in need of compassion can receive it in a confidential relationship with a Stephen Minister. The Family of Pearl Jacabella would like to thank everyone that attended her Memorial Service. Special thanks to all who made the Service possible and all that prepared the luncheon. Caring Caller Ministry Caring callers, trained by the membership assimilation team, are placing phone calls to active members of ESUMC who have not registered attendance for at least four weeks. If you are attending church, please fill out the communication card to register your attendance so that the team does not call you unnecessarily. Thank you!

Opportunities Merry Marthas & Misters The next meeting of the Merry Marthas & Misters will be Friday, April 25th at 6:30 p.m. In this session, we will learn how to make pretzels. For more information please contact Irene Paciotti at 570-421-4120. Spring Adult Mission Trip The Spring Adult Mission trip is to Ocean City, NJ to help in the relief of Sandy. We will be leaving Sunday afternoon on April 27th and coming back Friday, May 2nd or Saturday, May 3rd. The cost of the trip is $150 per person. Family Promise of Monroe County Luncheon & Fashion Show Spring Forward in support of one of ESUMCs missions at Lawnhaven at Stroudsmoor Inn on Sunday, April 27th at 1 pm. Dunkelbergers is coordinating the fashion show, and treats will abound! Cost is $32 in advance and $36 at the door. Call 570-4208589 to reserve your ticket.

Vacation Bible School Are you sick of winter? Then get away to a tropical island Son Treasure Island! Vacation Bible School will take place July 7th-11th from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 Noon. Mark your calendar and make a reservation to visit Son Treasure Island in July.

If you are interested in volunteering for the week or part of the week, then call Pam O'Brien. We are looking for a skit leader and actors/actresses to perform daily at the opening and closing of Vacation Bible School. If interested, call or email Mrs. O'Brien.

The 13th annual American Freedom Festival, The Independence Day celebration sponsored by The East Stroudsburg Community Alliance will be held on Friday, July 4th, from 3-11:00 p.m., Saturday, July 5th-3:00-9 p.m., and Sunday, July 6th- 1:00-9:00 p.m. in Dansbury Park, East Stroudsburg, PA. Admission is free. More information about ways you can participate can be found at the Welcome Center.

Children's Ministry News Foundations Christian Preschool Foundations Christian Preschool, located in the lower level of the church, is currently accepting registrations for the 2014-15 school year. Registration forms are available at the Welcome Center in Oberholtzer Hall or the church office.
