Maknaes Tao, Sehun (Sehun) Taos heart is extremely delicate(lembut). Known as AB style he has two types of personalities. (Tao) Sehun is cool and when he is with me, he is really funny. Whenever I get stressed, if I tell Sehun, my stress gets relieved. We fool around a lot whatever we do, if we do it together, I feel good. When Im with him, there is no stress. Although baby-faced, EXOs eldest members Xiumin, Luhan (Xiumin) Luhan is my friend from the same year (19)90. He is the only Chinese friend I have amongst the members. (Kris is a Canadian friend) He is my first foreign friend and when we go to China, Im happy that he takes care of me well and we relate to one another well. (Luhan) I like Xiumin. He lost a lot of weight and doesnt put in insoles when he wears shoes. (laugher) Hes extremely cute and seems like a dongsaeng to me. (Chen) Both of them seem like dongsaengs. They are so baby-faced. (Kris) Theyre the same age as me but because theyre baby-faced, it is a huge stress to me. K and Ms leader Suho, Kris (Suho) Kris is my only Canadian friend. Hes my Chinese Canadian friend. (Xiumin: This is a phrase Ive heard a lot from somewhere before?) When Im studying English, Kris helps out a lot. He said to pay him 50,000won per hour for tutoring me. Hes a good friend. Because he is EXO-Ms leader, when we promote as a team of EXO, he becomes of great strength to me. Kris has never opposed to anything I have said and has never put out an opposing suggestion. Thank you for trusting me and because he has a big frame, I feel he is dependable. (Kris) I really like Suho. Hes very kind and takes care of the members well. Were promoting as twelve members in Korea and because Im a foreigner, I am lacking in Korean. Suho helps a lot. Although hes one year younger, he is a good friend. Seeing how we went through a long trainee period together, we became good friends.

 Friends that have a lot of memories Chanyeol, D.O (Chanyeol) Baekhyun and I became close in about 20 seconds and when D.O first came in the company, the first person he got closest to was me. We got close so fast that it was to the point where on the first day we met, we got on the subway and went home together. When I have worries or have something I need to talk over seriously with someone, I usually talk to D.O a lot. I also learn a lot about music. We have a lot of memories from when we were trainees. The route home was the same way for D.O and I, so we would go to Apgujeong station often to eat takoyaki. We have a lot of memories and he is a friend that I can trust and depend on. (D.O) Hes a long time same age friend from when I first came in as a trainee and he is also trustworthy. We have a lot of memories. Hes my most comfortable friend. Relationship intertwined through dance Lay, Kai (Lay) When I first came into SM, I learned dancing from Kai, but he taught very kindly. Even till now I think of him as a master. Because Kai is so good at dancing, I often learn and ask him. Later, I think he can become the best dancer. That is why hwaiting! (Kai) I remember when Lay hyung first came. In Lay hyungs case, his enthusiasm to learn was superior compared to others. I came in about one year before Lay hyung and I thought about the past a lot. When I first came in, I learned from Taeminie. He taught me a lot of dances and everyday after we danced together, we would stay behind and practice.. us two practiced so much, there was once when during Chuseok (t/n: Korean Thanksgiving Day), we danced all three days. I have a lot of good memories with hyung. Recently we also consulted a lot on what type of dance we should dance. He thinks of me as a teacher but I dont think thats it but because hyung is Ms lead dancer and I am in charge of dance in K, I want to understand one another in the future as well. Those that joined EXO the latest Chen, Baekhyun (Chen) Baekhyun and I auditioned at the same audition and came into the company together. We were the only two that made it till the end and who would fall, we said, even if each gets chosen, lets encourage the other. We thought that they would only choose one person. However, he came in three days before me. At the time we talked a lot but I thought, there is such a kid in this world. He talks well and even his personality is great. Chanyeol has good sociability but Baekhyun does as well. Even till now, he is the friend that I relate the most to and he is amongst one of the members that I can tell everything to. (Kai) When we were living as trainees, one moment the both of them entered and I thought my ears were going to burst. It was quiet and peaceful, but as the two of them came in, it was no joke. (Chanyeol) Usually when one comes in the company, it is possible that they cower, but when they were taking their profile shots, I thought they were a trainee of 4~5 years. They spoke that much. (Baekhyun) When we were auditioning together, seeing Jongdae, (Chens real name) I saw that he would relieve his throat with high notes. I thought that he would become my biggest rival, till the end he lasted, and in the end we were up against one another. Because Chen sings well, I always ask him to show me and to teach me. Hes kind and sings well, and maybe its because we came in together, he is a

friend that my heart goes out to. When we were split apart and he was promoting as EXO-M, I missed him, but Im happy that were doing it together. I want to promote as twelve members EXO forever.

EXO chose member Xiumin as the most diligent and member Tao as most unique. "Woomin (t/n: Xiumin without the Xi) usually wakes up two hours before a schedule and prepares. I wake up at the sound of Woomin washing and putting on toner. Also Tao is the most unique amongst our members. Should I say hes four dimensional? He calls himself Dracula and drinks watermelon juice instead of blood. Besides this he also does a lot of fun actions like kind Tao and bad Tao, boy Tao and girl Tao. Haha" (Kai) One of the reasons why many of the members were able to get along with one another is because they overcame the obstacle of language. EXOs Chinese members (Kris, Luhan, Tao, Lay) are all proficient in Korean. Especially Kris is proficient in four languages and gathered attention. "Its not that I was interested in languages since I was young. When I was young I was born in China and lived there for ten years before moving to Canada. I lived in Canada for ten years. Thanks to it I became proficient in four languages: Korean, English, Mandarin, Cantonese. The title song Wolf and Beauty(Wolf) is a dance song with a collaboration of dubstep and hip hop and tells the unique story of a wolf meeting a girl and feeling loves emotion. They especially put in twice as much effort than others in order to grab the two rabbits that are Korea and China. The result of that is EXO reformed as a serious skilled singer and not a common visual singer. "Because this album has two versions of Korean and Chinese, we had to master two types of choreography parts for performances. We had a lot of amount of practice compared to others. Thanks to it, we havent made a mistake on stage once" (Chen) "Because of the language it was a bit difficult. Especially the Korean members suffered a lot because the Chinese pronunciation is hard. We put in our biggest effort to make it not seem awkward when a Chinese person listened to it" (Baekhyun) Also, while going back and forth from Korea and China, EXO who is steering the Hallyu craze, has stood on stage with a lot of senior singers on international stages and is a reliable group that has seen and learned a lot.

"While doing overseas performances, we meet a lot of big seniors. Im so happy that we could perform with a senior that I had respected, and above all else there is so much to learn. We study a lot from seeing our seniors performances. They also give us a lot of advice" (Suho) We want to become a group that has a long life like a zelkova tree" The zelkova tree is a tree that easily lives over 300 years once it lets down its roots and is also the tree that symbolizes prosperity and development in our country. Not knowing that the once door opened was closed, the members spilled in. While greeting one another, I counted and thought one was missing when Xiumin arrived last. Because there are many members, wherever they go, counting heads is a situation that is repeated. The space where the interview was being held was also under the same circumstance. Although we led

If I were to be called on any of them Id work hard I was about to take care of the growing commotion but they were one around the topic of variety, each member shouting their wish. It was fun to have them for an interview like this but I got lucky(!) to meet them by chance in a caf next to the office. I found out they went there to eat just after the interview. They were as enthusiastic to have lunch as they were to hold the interview in the afternoon. The enclosed area was filled with people of an older age group, so it felt as if nobody cared for them

much. Thrilled by this, the members enjoyed their freedom by photosythesizing under the sun or resting against a sofa. Out of the blue I felt sympathy for their peaceful expressions. The reason that this is their only "departure (T/N: time of rest)" is because of their career. The more they gain populairty, it would get progressively more difficult to bask in a leisure and freedom like this. Despite this being the case, these boys are happy to be concetrating on what they do best. They are able to withstand the burden that follows their hard-earned careers because they know what a big deal it is, and how difficult it is to debut at a first barrier called SM Entertainment. They continued, If a lot, its a four year difference, but we respect even if the person is one year older. Although because we had a long trainee period so we are like a family and its harmonious, we abide by what we have too. Also if we continuously used honorifics for 4~5 years while we were trainees and suddenly we stop because we became one team, itd be awkward. There are some members who formed together before debut so were very friendly but we still use honorifics." We thought there would exist a delicate hierarchy in the world of men, but Kris, who happens to be one of the oldest, lightened the atmosphere by saying Ill accept your informal speech if you say it in English. Chinese-born but selected in Canada, Kris is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. On the other hand, while fellow Chinese members Tao and Lu Han are not fluent in Korean, they impressed us when they were able to differentiate between formal and informal speech among the four languages the members use amongst themselves. When they get asked to talk a little they all talk at once here and there so it can sometimes get out of control. To these they proudly replied We dont have time to get bored". Its even more noticeable with Chanyeols voice, when he opens his mouth you cant help but hear him. "Chanyeolie is in charge of voice within the team. Because hes also the atmosphere maker, he makes things noisy at times as well.", The manager hyungs get tired. They also tell me to sit in the way back in the car if possible. They say its because my voice is so loud. Have a rich powerful voice is a good thing." -You guys got first place one year after debuting. It is a shining growth for EXO, so I think your thoughts would be different than others. Especially the fact that invisible tears were spilt became a hot topic. "Our practice time up to the album release was a long time but we also were nominated for first place. While I was anxious wondering if we would be awarded the trophy or not, the moment they called first place EXO, the past times till then passed me in a flash. I instantly met gazes with the EXO members and then my tears fell. Because I was shaking so much, I wasnt able to say the words that I needed to but kept repeating my thanks to my parents, CEO Lee Sooman, and the members over and over again (laughter). Because it was an overwhelming moment and my heart was full, I wanted to cry, but because I had to express my thoughts, I tried to keep my tears in (laughter). Thanks to that, amongst the fans, the invisible tears became a speaker." (Suho) -I think you guys wouldnt be able to just spend the day away because of your emotional hearts from first place. "Because we had practice the next day, we played by taking pictures and celebrating amongst ourselves." (Baekhyun) "We ate black bean noodles that were quite nice and beef (laughter). Our leader Suho hyung said he would pay so he even took his card but because we celebrated with over thirty people, our manager hyung payed. Sadly, Suho hyung only paid for the drinks (laughter). Next time we get first place, I think hyung will buy it." (Chanyeol) -Were there any other words after you won first place from chairman Lee Sooman? "He contacted us saying really congratulations, and he also said although we got first place, to always be humble." (Chen) -I think this year is EXOs year. Arent you piling a lot of records although its your first official album. "Thank you for seeing it like that. I think we really were a bit lucky. Although our hiatus period was quite long, we worked that much harder on this album, and we put in our heart and soul. I think because they recognize those aspects, we are able to raise numerous records." (Suho) "I think we were able to get a good result from this album because the fans interests were as high as we have an attachment to the other songs and performance in this album. Were really thankful that as soon as comeback news came out, there were a lot of talks about it." (Lay) "After the release, for one week we recorded 118,000 cds on the Hanteo charts. On KBS 2FM Super Juniors Kiss the Radio, the listener board was down and there were over one hundred thousand posts posted. When I see things like this, I think that our reaction must be hot (laughter)." (Xiumin)

"Like the hyungs said before, I think we were really lucky. I think its the result of not only domestic fans but overseas fans, especially the Chinese fans that love EXO, supporting us." (Kai) -You guys promoted with six members and are now promoting with twelve members. I think there would be more good aspects but if you had to pick, in which aspect did you feel discomfort. "First, a strong point is that although with six members, the performance on stage was fancy, with twelve members we are able to show a more closely packed form. If I had to pick an uncomfortable aspect, I think it would be when we wash up (laughter). We have five rooms and two bathrooms but when we get ready, we end up using two-three people to a bathroom. That aspect seems like a negative point but even that is happiness (laughter)." (Baekhyun) "Because we have a lot of members, even we think that itd be a bit hard to control us (laughter). We split into two cars to get around and even though in these living aspects there might be discomfort, because we are twelve members, we gain more strength, have more fun, and the days we stand on stage, our hearts always flutter." (Chanyeol) "Because were twelve members, when were doing our own schedules, its a bit tough and also when were working together with twelve members, there are some hard aspects in living.
