I am really grateful for the shopping service. It is
brilliant having a lady who is such a capable person
using her initiative in what shopping is needed. She
deals with the cash in a very professional manner, she
is very reliable and keeps me informed if there are
any issues developing with my aunt.
The shopping service is one of the main supports
allowing my aunt to stay at home. Without the
service, she would have less contact, no access to
money and providing shopping would be really

I just wanted write and thank you for the excellent

housekeeping service you provide. Mum's
housekeeper is an absolute godsend, very thorough
but most importantly reliable and has a good
relationship with Mum.
As Mum is getting on a wee bit I am very reassured to
know that I can trust Ann and know that Mum is
happy and relaxed having her around.
The supports your service provides assists many
elderly and disabled people to have more control and
independence and enables them to live in their
homes without having to rely heavily on neighbours
or families. I wish you every success for the future
and know that if Mum needed additional support
with shopping, bill paying etc, I can call on you at
any time.

Fife Shopping and Support Services is a
charitable, not for profit company, set up to
provide frail and housebound elderly people
and disabled adults in the community with
support to maintain independence within
their own homes.
We currently provide services across Fife assisting
with shopping, pension collections, housework,
gardening and bank services. We are continually
developing new supports as clients make individual
requests.
To fund the service we ask clients to pay a charge
towards the costs of the service depending on the level
of service they receive.
As a registered charity we also raise funds through
fundraising with the intention of keeping charges to
clients as low as possible. As the number of clients
using the service increases and funds are raised we will
use the increased income to reduce the overall charges
to all our clients.
It is our intention that the service develops into a low
cost provider to vulnerable people across Fife.
Our managers and staff are checked with the police
and other registered authorities to ensure they are fit
people to provide services to vulnerable clients in their
homes providing clients with the assurance that they
are in safe hands.
Our experienced trained staff will visit your home to
collect your shopping lists, cash and where applicable
pension or other post office transaction documents and
carry out your shopping and transactions returning
shopping, change, cash and receipts the same day.

A. By completing an application form and sending it
to our offices in Glenrothes. If you prefer call us

A. You will be assessed for your service/s and

Weekly shopping services start from 4.80.

is offered where 2 or more services are taken.

Q. Where do you buy my shopping?

A. Our Support Assistants use the Supermarkets
and shops in your local area.
Q. How do I pay?
A. You can pay your support assistant in cash along
with your shopping transactions. If you receive
housework support you may prefer to set up a
standing order.
Q. How often is the service provided?

A. It is up to you and can be discussed with a
Service Manager when you make an application.
