Tax Collector Dennis Hollingsworth & Clerk of Court Gail Wadsworth
Endorse Travis Hutson in Special Election
Tallahassee, Fla. Following the endorsement announcement of State Attorney R.J. Larizza and Sheriffs
David Shoar and Ben Johnson, Republican Candidate Travis Hutson today announced that St. Johns County
Tax Collector Dennis Hollingsworth and Flagler County Clerk of Court Gail Wadsworth have endorsed him
in his bid in the Special Election for Senate District 6, adding to a growing list of local support.
Travis has already gone above and beyond in demonstrating his commitment to Flagler County, said Court
Clerk Wadsworth. With experience serving as the State Representative of House District 24 and with his
long-standing roots in our local community, I have no doubt that Travis will serve Flagler County with
distinction, and I am proud to support him in his bid for Florida Senate.
Travis is focused on doing what is best for Northeast Florida, said Tax Collector Hollingsworth. I am
truly honored to give my endorsement to Travis, as I believe he is the best candidate to efficiently and
effectively serve our First Coast community in the Florida Senate.
I am humbled to have the local support and endorsements of Court Clerk Wadsworth and Tax Collector
Hollingsworth, said Hutson. As exemplary public servants, both have diligently served our community
over the years, and I cannot thank them enough for their support of my campaign for Senate District 6.
Since announcing his candidacy for Senate District 6, Hutson has been endorsed by Florida Commissioner of
Agriculture Adam Putnam, Representative Bill Proctor, State Attorney R.J. Larizza, St. Johns County Sheriff
David Shoar and Volusia County Sheriff Ben Johnson.
Prior to running for the Special Election for Senate District 6, Hutson served in the Florida House of
Representatives. Hutson was elected to Florida House District 24, which includes Flagler County and parts
of St. Johns and Volusia Counties, in 2012 and was subsequently re-elected.
While serving in the Florida House, Hutson championed crucial legislation for House District 24 and the
state, focusing on the economy and public safety. In education, Hutson helped craft enhancements to
