How to update or change program

Operation
Step1
Download program needed for the machine mcgsbin , then decompress the file
to mcgsbin folder, then copy it to your USB.
Step 2
Turn on the machine, after seeing Shuttle Star logo, there appears the starting
status as the below picture shows. Here click the screen, then the window for entering
system will turn up.

Step 3
In the dialog box as follows, select Enter system to enter the CE system,
password szxs , refer to the following picture:

In the table, double click (the second icon)

In, there are a few folders as follows:

Then insert USB with mcgsbin folder inside, USB will appear in the computer
system as follows:

Open USB, copy mcgsbin folder

Step 7
Back to open HarDisk folder; in HarDisk folder, there is a
mcgsbin folder as well, rename HarDisk/mcgsbin folder as other like
MCGSBINOLD, then paste the mcgsbin folder copied from USB here.( That is to
replace the original mcgsbin program by the updated one in USB. The original one,
you can rename or delete it )

When updating completes, restart the machine.


Tips: After restart the machine, enter the touch screen menu, if every works
OK, enter the CE system to delete MCBSBINOLD folder (i.e. the original
mcgsbin program). If program still doesnt work after updating, delete the
new mcgsbin, and recover MCGSBINGOLD to mcgsbin, the system will
recover to the original status.

Matters need attention

If we dont delete or rename the original mcgsbin, but cover it by


the new one, some data might not be updated. So we must delete or
rename the original mcgsbin, and put the new mcgsbin to the
same place. We strongly suggest renaming the original mcgsbin, in
this case, even updating doesnt success, we still can put it back to the
original status.

The system can recognize USB only after connect power. If insert USB
before power on, USB can not be recognized in the system.

Software updating will lead to the original profile data missing.


Therefore, please note down the profiles in the original program, and
input them to the new one and save. Another way of saving original
profiles: inside the mcgsbin there is a folder named data where
the profile is placed, copy the data in the original mcgsbin to the
new one, then we wont miss any profile datas.

Make sure all the folders in the system must be done under delete,
copy, paste, and rename. Your operation might lead to system
crush and machine not working. Our company will not be responsible
for this trouble caused by wrong operation. Sorry for the
