Overview
OPCOM200-2GEM is a dual Gigabit Ethernet multiplexer card. It can multiplex 2 Gigabit Ethernet
channels into a 2.5G CWDM wavelength channel, improving the wavelength resource utilization.
Meanwhile, OPCOM200-2GEM is also suitable for point to point system.
Besides, OPCOM200-2GEM provides a 10M/100M network management channel, by which users
can view the remote device network management information through connecting with remote
chassis NMS card.

Function feature
The GE interface transmits the data packet from 64 to 9600 bits transparently.
Provides 10M/100M auto-negotiation network management interface, which allows users manage the remote
devices. If such interface is not used for network management, it can transmit a 10M Ethernet data.

A dual-strand fiber only can transmit single Gigabit data by traditional Gigabit media converter.
While, 2 Gigabit data and one 10M Ethernet data can be transmitted transparently by 2GEM.
Therefore, comparing with 2 channel CWDM device, 2GEM improves the wavelength resource
utilization as well as reduces the cost dramatically.
