I. COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This course discusses the major topics in corporate finance, including capital
budgeting, CAPM, capital structure, dividend policy and mergers and acquisitions.
The courses objective is to provide a theoretical framework for considering
corporate finance problems and issues, with an understanding of the issues
involved in applying the ideas in the real world.

No make-up midterm and final exam will be given under any condition.
The course grades will be will be curved to meet a course-average GPA of 2.3 of C+.
Note:
+ One of the requirements to get a D- or better in the class is to earn above 60% in at
least one of the two exams.
+ One of the requirements to get a C- or better in the class is to earn above 70% in at
least one of the two exams.
IV. COURSE POLICIES
It is expected that students will attend all classes and be prepared to discuss the
subject matter assigned. Leaving early or coming in late will count as an absence.
Participation includes attendance and speaking in class during the discussion.
Missing two or more classes, or never participate the class discussion will
lead to 0 points in class participation grade.
Reading the assigned chapters prior to the meeting.
We have many homework assignments, quizzes and projects in the class. It is
your responsibility to finish and submit your works before the due date.
In calculating homework, quiz and project average, one of the lowest will be
dropped.
No late work will be allowed.
Excuses such as internet issues, computer problems, missed the deadlines will
not be accepted. I will not make exceptions to one or two students.
You need to take both midterm and final exams. No make-up examination.
Every student is expected to finish his/her homework assignments, projects and
quizzes independently.
Please note that any suspicion by the instructor regarding the originality of
project/assignments/quizzes, or large discrepancy in project/assignments/quizzes
and exam grades will lead to 0 grade in that category without any discussion
with the student.
It is very important that you purchase the CONNECT access code and register
for the course. You can purchase the access code in one of several ways:

Please note that you will need to present your student ID at the time of examination.
You will be asked to sign the attendance sheet during the exam.
Turn-off your cell phones.
You will have to bring your own scantron and calculator (simple financial
calculator).
5. Palm-held computer or programmable calculators are not permitted.
6. You will be provided with a formula sheet.
7. Each examination is composed of multiple-choice, True/False questions, and
problem-solving type questions.
8. You will have to show all your calculations in the problem section for full credit.
9. Your writing should be legible in the essay section for full credit.
10. NO MAKE-UP EXAMS.
