OUR MISSION
STATEMENT:
Making Disciples
...Changing
the World
an opportunity to seek
the pleasure of Gods
presence.
Get outdoors
One of the simplest
and most immediate
ways for me to get a
sense of Gods
presence is to go
outside and look for it.
Plan times to be
outside and enjoy Gods
omnipresence.
Spend time with others
Another place where
Im sure to find God is
in others, specifically
those who areor
should bethe recipients of my generosity
and compassion.
We are called to take
care of each other. I
dont have to go very far
to find someone who
needs the love of God
extended to them.
Theyre all around me,
retired colleagues, a
neighbor kid whose
mom needs a break,
the mom herself.
Pray for the little things
During Lent I pray
more oftenwe should
be unceasing in our
prayers! Prayer is what
draws us closer to God
and builds that deeper
relationship.
Soooo, what are you
taking up this Lent to
help you draw closer to
God?
Blessings,
Rev. April

MotherMother-InIn-Law
A man, his wife, and his
mother-in-law went on
vacation to the Holy
Land. While they were
there, and while they
were in Jerusalem, the
mans mother-in-law
died. With the death
certificate in hand, the
man went to the
undertaker to make
arrangements to send
the body back to the
States for proper
burial. The undertaker,
after hearing of the
death of the mother-inlaw told the man, "My
friend, the sending of a
body back to the States
for burial is very, very
expensive. It could cost
as much as $5,000.
The undertaker asked,
"Why would you spend
$5,000 to ship your
mother-in-law home,
when it would be wonderful to be buried here
and spend only
$150?". The man
thinks for some time,
and answers the
undertaker, "A man
died here 2000 years
ago, was buried here,
and three days later he
rose from the dead.
I just cant take that
chance!
