INTRODUCTION

Availability of non-renewable energy thinning will be a big problem for human life. Much thought has
been devoted by scientists in order to anticipate the
the possibility of the energy crisis in the future. Aside from the problem of limited energy that there is
also a new problem arises from the use of non-renewable energy is in the form of pollution and
environmental pollution impact on climate change in the world. Leaders from various countries held a
conference on climate change in Tehran (UNFCCC), as a follow up to the Kyoto Protocol held in Japan

earlier, in connection with climate change, several countries agreed to reduce emissions in the mineralfueled engines, which are considered as the largest contributor to air pollution, with a policy that is
expected to be a solution to reduce air pollution.
As concrete steps to tackle the problem of global warming, Center for Development of Fishing as
belonging Technical Implementation Unit of the Directorate General of Capture Fisheries, in accordance
with the duties and functions will conduct technical studies on the engine of the vessel with a source of
electrical power is derived from a hybrid between solar cell and the generator and propeller installation in
Iran. Research on "Technical Review Propeller-Engine Matching In Traditional Fishing Vessel Using
Hybrid Electric Motors Between Solar Cell And Genset As Prime Mover Engineering in tehran", is
expected to be an alternative way in reducing the use of fossil fuels and reduce air pollution , as well as
operational costs of traditional fishing boat cruise, namely by increasing the efficiency of ship propulsion
systems, in particular the selection of a hybrid method which used traditional boat propeller is.
Literature Review
The hybrid system is a power generation system consisting of two or more systems of power plants. For
example, solar power (photovoltaic-PV) generator combined with the so-called Hybrid PV- Generator.
Indonesia has been widely applied in PV- Generator Hybrid, Hybrid PV- Mikrohydro, PV- Wind (Wind),
and even Hybrid- wind-generator. The hybrid system is a centralized system (power plants collected in a
location, and the electricity generated is distributed through a network) technical reasons exploited hybrid
system is as follows:
Complement the advantages and disadvantages of each generation (PV - Genset).
Optimizing the system generating capability (PV-generator).
Reduce dependence on generator fuel supply.
Improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply. Grid-connected can improve the reliability
and quality of electricity supply because electricity is supplied to a more stable and can be set to have
a back-up function.
Metodology Research
Field studies conducted directly and interviews, including:
1. Measure the size of the main vessel, (the length of the ship (Lpp), the width of the ship, laden ship,
and tall ship) and the measures required to make the lines plan.
2. Knowing the speed of the ship during the sea trial.
3. Collect engineering drawings existing ships for completeness images in this thesis.
The calculation is done in the context of processing the data obtained in the field, including:
1. Incorporate body measurement data plan to use the software freeship, to get the hull form.
2. Get the value of resistance vessel, with a slender hull form then used approach obstacles ship,
namely: the open source CFD software Michlet
3. Determine and recommend power engine / electric motor as the prime mover in accordance with
the calculated BHP ship in accordance with the calculation.
4. Determine and recommend appropriate propeller based calculations.
5. Matching Point, which adjust and match between propeller and engine character of the
recommendation
6. Determining the value of a hybrid circuit parameters on propeller propulsion system.

Analysis of the output from the calculation, among other obstacles ship, the use of propeller in
accordance with the electric motor, the relationship with the speed of an electric current, and various
parameters on the results of a series hybrid drive system propeller.

Analysis Of The Output From The Calculation

Analysis of data and calculation of the motor vessel bandit is one of the fishing boats that are produced
by one of the traditional shipyard in Pasuruan special build fishing vessels with wooden raw material.
The ships were built in this shipyard, has a wide range of variation in size, ranging from the size of the
ship hull of 9 meters, 10 meters, 15 meters up in full size.
Ship building in Pasuruan done traditionally, namely the lack of planning and preliminary calculations
before the ship was built, but the craftsman ship in his profession as a boat designer and shipbuilder,
basically just forward the ideas and habits of his predecessors. So that the results obtained design has not
changed much in the direction of the development of ship design in accordance with the hydrodynamic
aspects. The main measure vessel obtained by performing measurements in the field, the measurement
consists of measuring the overall vessel length (LOA), length of waterline (LWL), the maximum width of
the ship (Boa), tall ship (Depth) and loaded aboard. Vessel length is measured from the aft end of the ship
until the end of the bow of the ship, vessel width is measured from the outer hull skin left side (portside)
to the outer hull skin in addition to the right (starboard), tall ship measured from baseline to the lowest
line of the deck, while the measurement laden ship performed when the ship in the middle of the ship full
load condition (midship) .After taking measurements on the ship, then made a rough plan. Plans lines
(Lines Plan) is a technique depiction of 3D objects, the present lines result from pieces of each crosssection curves with three pieces axis direction. This image is used to describe the shape of a ship's hull,
which each ordinate of each piece of the hull can be presented.
Based on field measurements of the obtained data is the primary measure of the ship

Determining the value of (wake fraction) for single-propeller ships participating Flow is the difference
between the speed of the ship with the speed of water flowing into the propeller is determined by the
formula
= 0,10 + 4,5 .cp.B
=0,128
Specifies the thrust (Thrust) to ship a single propeller

thrust force (T) required to propel a ship at speed (V) will be greater than the specified total resistance
(RT) experienced by the vessel when the vessel is towed with the same speed (V), resulting in the addition
of (augmented) barriers.
but in practice the addition of barriers is also considered to be a reduction or deduction barriers in
existing thrust on the propeller, which assumes that the total thrust of T there are obstacles that must be
overcome for the RT. Thus a reduction in thrust due to the obstacles that work, therefore, to know the
major thrust of the ship we need to know the driving force deduction fraction (Harvald, 1992).

To ship a single propeller driving force value deduction is: (Huda, 2008)
t = 0.5 x (Cp - 0.12)
= 0.5 x .618-.12
= 0.249
Calculation of Efficiency hull
Hull Efficiency is the ratio between the thrust deduction fraction and ship wake. The calculation of the
efficiency of the hull can use the formula as beside: (Huda, 2008)
hull = (l t)/(l w)
= (1 0,249)/(1 0,128)
= 0.86

Simulation Of Hybrid Drive System On Boat Propeller.

Propeller propulsion system on the ship FVBandit uses a hybrid system which means combining two
different energy sources to obtain other energy we want. The energy source is used in the field of solar
cell solar energy and electric energy from the generator is used to supply power to the electric motor as
the driving engine propeller. For coupling the drive system, the authors using statistical software version
