MADRASAH AL-HIKMAH
AALIMIYYAH COURSES
2015
Aalimiyyah course is conducted over a span of five years, in which students
make graded progress through Tafseer (translation and exegesis of the Holy
Quran), Ahadith (teachings of the Prophet SAW), the Traditional Islamic
Sciences of Fiqh (Islamic legal system), and Aqaaid (Islamic belief system).
The syllabus is mainly based on the Ad-Dars un-Nizami of the renowned
scholar Mulla Nizamuddin Shadhid 1161AH/1747 CE. This program is being
employed worldwide. Modifications have been made to accommodate the
Shafii Fiqh.
Subsidiary subjects include Arabic Language, Classical Arabic literature,
Seerah, Tajweed (Quranic pronunciation), Memorization of some surahs of
the Quran, Uloomul-Quran, Usoolul-Fiqh and Usoolul-Ahadith.
The mediums of instruction are Arabic and English.

Allah Taala states in the quran:
And recite the Quraan with measure(Tarteel)
Tarteel means to recite with Tajweed.
Since the Quran was revealed with Tarteel, it is realized that it is necessary for every
individual to acquire the knowledge of Tajweed, to e ble to read quran properly. If
we do not acquire the knowledge of Tajweed,it may result to making mistakes when
reciting the Quran Shareef.And to err in reciting Quran Shareef, will be sinful.
By the end of semester, students should be able to:

pronunciation (Makhraj), with all its qualities.

To be able to recite the Quran Properly.
