Less Clashes
- Each designer is fully aware
of other services which may
otherwise clash
Time Consuming
- Need longer time to complete
the services design
Overlay method
Is an iterative process of sequentially overlaying
multi drawings of various trades

Save Time
- It allows for design of each
service to proceed concurrently
Major Clashes
- May require major revamp of
the services routing
Scale Model
By constructing of a scale model to visual the
actual installation space requirement
Mock up
- In project which have standard
layout for every storey
Costly
- It could be costly and time
consuming

Getting start
Step 1 (approx. 5 mins)
o transfer structure plan onto Arch plan
o Indicate the dimension and color them
Step 2 (approx. 30 ~ 40 mins)
o Identify clashes area and prepare sectional view drawing
o Indicate the level and relative position of services, label and
dimension of services
Step 3 (approx. 10 mins)
o Transfer sprinkler plan onto Arch plan
o Indicate the size (dia) and color them
Step 4 (approx. 20 mins)
o Transfer ACMV plan onto Arch plan
o Indicate duct, pipe size and color them
Step 5 (approx. 10 mins)
o Transfer electrical & lighting plan onto Arch plan
o Indicate the size of cable tray and color them
Step 6 (approx. 5 mins)
o Written question (consideration for the above changes)
